  1. Nobody we see has any reaction. Then maybe he's talking to someone not in the gif.
  2. there are some good signs there: he's really improved his discipline from where it was last year (mostly disastrous) to acceptable levels and he seems to have added loft to his swing now and is hitting a lot more fly balls; he was never going to make it as an empty batting average guy so you can see the gains his fellow expatriate has made and it's not unforeseeable to imagine him as a similar type of power bat but you hope he will be less of a total black hole in the field, and this is perhaps sanguine...i don't close the book on it because we've seen coaching/instruction do immense amounts of good in helping player performance (Fowler, Bryant, Russell) greatly outpace their reputation and i still don't know how he ended up on 2nd after Bryant's ball hit off the wall the other day (eventually costing a run) Yeah, him seemingly adding some serious TOOTBLAN tendencies to his game kinda quells any hope I have for him to make up for his deficiencies via his bat. It's, like, "damn, dude, you already suck defensively, but now you gotta suck at THIS, too?" It feels like he's got to REALLY hit well to offset how stank he is at everything else.
  3. It is mildly annoying that any kind of postseason loss will be tagged to "Cubs being Cubs" as opposed to "fickle baseball being fickle baseball."
  4. Did it? I was thinking he was just reacting to the whoosh of air. Like, "whoa, is there a bird landing on me?" There's no way that touched him. The kid is way behind, and if it did touch him the guy reacted long after he got hit. But he didn't get hit. Or someone he's talking to is reacting, like, "LOOK OUT" to the kid and he's reacting to that reaction. We have become gif Truthers. This game is too far away.
  5. He's definitely a narc.
  6. No, awkward cousin hanging with the crew,or going into a club, or a backroom deal and zobrist is the new guy. "He's cool, he's with me" vouching for the new guy kinda deal. So now he's Donnie Brasco? Or Mr. Orange? DAMMIT, WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT.
  7. Teacher's pet-kinda deal? Creepy weirdo factor....rising.
  8. That's all well and good, but what kind of changes have we seen with his Creepy Weirdo Index?
  9. Hahahahah! Nearly a season's worth of legit highlights after a month. Insanity.
  10. A clash of the titans. The earth will shudder and the skies will tremble as the Cubs and Nationals slap dongs together. The presence of Dusty Baker will make the inevitable humbling of the ex-Expos all the more sweet. The Cubs take the field behind fresh-faced holy card model Kyle Hendricks: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iKE1y4nkGq0/VL_x-ZVieqI/AAAAAAAABV8/aR5YURYghiQ/s1600/CCI.kyle%2Bhendricks%2Bclose%2Bup.jpg The Nats are lead by a dude who looks like what would happen if Ruby Rod and Sy Snootles had a baby: http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/525x330/alt/605452.jpg Like Nicasio, he too looks terrified as he pitches. He is wise to know fear. http://www.totalprosports.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/cubs-fan-hits-other-fan-with-bat-baseball-fan-gifs.gif
  11. This was more fitting for the Pirates after this series:
  12. we could give them treats And a Capri Sun Making a smile out of an orange slice is always fun.
  13. http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1149754/images/o-SISTINE-CHAPEL-PICKPOCKET-facebook.jpg
  14. It's probably another nobody.
  15. I know everyone has mistypes...but it's just kind of fascinating how you missed the word "me" twice in the same post. That is all. It's like how in some religions you can't actually say "God."
  16. Thrillho: best user name AND best poster?
  17. I'd rather have Bryant in the OF; Zobrist is just going to keep getting older and more stump-legged.
  18. Let's face it: the Cubs aren't facing another team right now so much as a bunch of bags of beat they're just toying around with. They've clobbered the Pirates without the use of their dongs, and a small part of actually feels a little bad for the Pirates. The other, much bigger part of wants to see them whip around the Parrot's head with dong after dong so much that it finally just snaps off. ANYWAY, it's Yips McGee: http://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/2015/04/19/images/mlbf_80734783_th_45.jpg vs. this anonymous sack of wet mice: http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/525x330/504379.jpg LOOK AT HIM. He just looks bummed to be pitching, which makes sense since he's facing the Cubs and they will show him no mercy. http://33.media.tumblr.com/8fdf4e75e80a69f6e75f41324e562da8/tumblr_inline_o4kr5g90Tt1qlbrga_540.gif
  19. I kinda don't even know how to handle rooting for a team this good.
  20. Shhhhhhhhh, just relax and enjoy this delightful victory. They're even doing it sans dongs, just as you like it.
  21. You gotta let it go, man. This is unhealthy. I'm just messing around. Up until two days ago I didn't care either way about Starlin. Except the walk-up music was cool. ETA: wait. Aren't you the one that has to let it go? Nah. Some of us were just a bit sad to see him go. It seems, however, to really be bugging you. Take it easy and enjoy things.
  22. He wasn't accused of rape and wasn't getting shot at. I kid. I kid. You gotta let it go, man. This is unhealthy.
