Yeah, a guy coming back to visit the team he pitched for for 11 of his 12 years in the MLB. THIS IS SO PERPLEXING. I mean, why did Henry Blanco come back to work for the organization? Everyone from his teams are gone, too.

Ok? I'm just saying who does Z even know in the Cubs org anymore. It feels like the whole org turned over since he left. And most of them turned over since Billie Williams left as well. Sports team alumni return without current personal relationships being the reason. Yeah, that was a really weird tangent, even for UMFan.

Well plus I'm sure Maddon intended on calling him up the first time a position player was needed and worse case on September 1st. Yes! The guy is seemingly acting like he was being sent down to make room for someone who was taking his job for the foreseeable future, but worst case he's back in a month! This is so bizarre.

It's so hilariously sad how shortsighted he's being; the guy's obviously a platoon player at best, yet he's acting like he's being denied a starting job. On team as stacked as the Cubs. I don't even know how to process that. So he gets himself booted off a team this good to, what, go be a platoon player on a crappier team? Amazing Jersey-logic there.
