it was all about Pujols or Fielder that offseason. I think we won Fun fact: Since that off-season, Rizzo has accrued 20.1 fWAR. Pujols and Fielder have combined for 16.6 fWAR. Damn, all you guys pining for Pujols and Fielder are amateurs; I raged hardest when the Cubs didn't sign Adam horsefeathering Dunn after 2010. Beat THAT. Fun fact: Adam Dunn only has a 16 bWAR for his entire CAREER.

Since him likely not using any of his opt-out options is predicated Jason Heyward: Really, Really, Really Good Baseball Player remaining in perpetual batting ability limbo, no, I don't think either of those things are probably going to happen. Meanwhile, is Dexter Fowler: Good Dude Coming off a Career Year at Age 30 more likely to keep being that good, or better than the younger, better at baseball Jason Heyward? No, personally I don't think that's going to happen.

Yes. I don't even think I would debate it very long. This is assuming Heyward is NOT going to opt-out of his deal right? Then it's a pretty easy decision for me. Fowler all the way. This seems to rely on a LOT of unlikely things happening.

That jacket is even more brutal in brighter light! He's going for some kind of valet-turned-70's news anchor look. Plus it looks enormous...or maybe he's just enormous after living off nothing but fine spiced meats and wines for the last few months.

For me, it has nothing to do with the Bears and everything to do with the Cubs winning the World Series. Really struggling to care about other sports again. But yeah, the Packers are going to the Super Bowl if they're going to play like this. Maybe the Patriots will stop them. As a casual observer, a Cowboys/Patriots SB is infinitely more intolerable than the Packers winning. So to that I say:
