  1. Didn't you go to the Harden debut game where Theriot threw the ball into the OF in the 9th? I'd say that counts enough to be memorable, if so. Oh yeah! I left work early pretending to be sick so I could go AND I got laid because of the win! Good day. I could have sworn I went to one at Wrigley where Soriano hit 3 HR, but apparently he only ever did that on the road. He definitely hit 2, and then must have had a deep double or something, but it was pretty great. I know I was pretty damn drunk. I also went to a game here in DC when Soriano was on the Nats and all of the Nats players were at different gates at RFK to greet fans; Sori was at the one my dad I came in, and the crowd wasn't big at all at that point, so we went right up to him, shook his hand, and my dad was all, "you'd look great in Cub blue next year" and Soriano chuckled heartily. YOU'RE WELCOME.
  2. Man, this thread is telling me that I've been to a ton of regular-ass, forgettable Cubs games, apparently. Besides Game 3 of the WS, which sucked butt.
  3. I was there for the Jeff Gordon "Wrigley Stadium" debacle.
  4. I don't hate hockey so much as continually forget that it exists. That's how I feel about the Simpsons As you should; the show has been terrible for about 15 years now.
  5. I get not liking the Bears, I will never understand your distaste for hockey. Especially right now. Hawks are firing on all cylinders. I don't hate hockey so much as continually forget that it exists.
  6. Man, you are WAY too forgiving of a team/organization that does not deserve it at all. lol all i said was that if you look at the past 25 years they are a little above browns level and if you look at the past 15 they are pretty much meh. Still too positive!
  7. 1994 9-7 1995 9-7 2001 13-3 2005 11-5 2006 13-3 2008 9-7 2010 11-5 2012 10-6 Add to it, 2001 was a total fluke, the 2012 team started at 7-1 and tanked. I really liked the 2011 team until Cutler went down. They were 7-3 at the time before finishing 8-8 in the process of steamrolling a good san diego team when knox got cutty killed. Man, you are WAY too forgiving of a team/organization that does not deserve it at all.
  8. how can the team with jay cutler for the past 8 years be considered anonymous? one of the biggest lightning rods in the nfl. Nah people stopped caring about Jay Cutler outside of Chicago years ago I want some team to go full heel and sign him and AP.
  9. i know this was a half serious post but the bears went to a superbowl and had a bunch of other ok teams under lovie, remember? Outside of the Bears losing that SB, there isn't much, if any, of a gulf between the Bears and the Jets over the last 15 years.
  10. weren't pretty much all of those in the last 15? including a superbowl and nfccg appearance? i'm not gonna split hairs, yeah, if you go back to 1992, they're like a tier above the browns. going back about 15 years it's considerably less dismal, imo. 5 seasons above .500 in the last 15 years, with one of those being 9-7. Still sounds pretty shitty. At best they spent a good chunk of that time hovering around 8-8.
  11. 8 seasons over .500 over the last 25 years. 3 of those 8 seasons were 9-7 seasons. The Bears are a dreg team.
  12. And some of you doofs kept trying to look at this team optimistically. ALWAYS LISTEN TO ME.
  13. the only thing i can think of is that he actually buys into his own horsefeathers about inspiring people and he thinks his awfulness is a net-positive somehow. "Look, maybe I don't make it, and that's ok, because that little boy out there" etc The whole "Tim Tebow saved someone at a baseball game by laying hands on them" BS is kind of a perfect microcosm of this.
  14. http://deadspin.com/piss-off-tim-tebow-1793082851 This is glorious:
  15. It's always time for bat flips. Think of it as a symbolic "horsefeathers off" to Jake Arrietas everywhere.

  17. I had no idea they had hired Sting as a coach.
  18. You're the only one "backbending," you Gumby-looking motherhugger.

  20. "I'm sick of the guys from the Cubs team that won the World Series 4 months ago," said insane person.
  21. Find me a gif of Kershaw's legs going out on him thanks to Rizzo's dong, dammit.
  22. No, he's grounding out weakly like he's Jason Heyward.
