Sadly, the most obvious demarcation, IMO, for quality episodes is whether or not they are pre- or post-Phil Hartman.

Jerkass Homer is a flawed theory anyway; there's tons of great episodes in the first 10 seasons that involve or revolve around Homer being a jerk.

FALSE. And really, seasons 3-8. i'm good with any non jerk ass homer season, but you're right, show really hit it's stride starting season 3. earlier ones are good but not on that level. Lots of good horsefeathers in those first 2 seasons to enjoy after the fact, but, yeah, if I'm selling it (rightly) as maybe the funniest show of all time, I'm not gonna have someone watch it from the beginning.

While you should definitely drop absolutely everything you are doing and mainline at least the first 6 seasons right now, it will probably never have the same impact as growing up with comedy perfection in real time. FALSE. And really, seasons 3-8.

This is good just on a straight up basis. With the Perd tie-in, it is amazing. I am genuinely jealous at how TT just steps up and drops maybe the most perfect gif/reply/poster combo of all time. I've cracked up every damn time I keep seeing it.

MLB won't, but they should. horsefeathers him. Based on Yu's postgame quotes, he's a far better man than I could ever be. It's total [expletive] if they don't suspend him right away; the guy would appeal and not miss any of the series, so MLB will be REALLY dropping the ball if they just sit on their hands.

Again, just people saying how they could see it being a weakness that could hinder a baller offense relatively quickly. Not that much of a stretch (though a lot of that is admittedly based on how gracefully one worries Lester is going age).

It is slightly terrifying that the starting pitching options going forward seem to mostly revolve on miracles, sorcery and osmosis.
