Maybe I'm imagining it, but I remember cracking up at a photo that seemed to be of that exact moment: the fan has his arms out, like, "why did you give up that HR?!?!" like he went from "I'm gonna tackle this guy" to "uhhhhh, maybe this was a bad idea and I need to play it off." Damned if I can find the photo now, though.

i suppose the fact that they specifically went out of their way (and against the norm) to visit while obama was still in office (although he had something to do with it too, iirc) is better than most MLB teams probably would've done, but yeah, that second visit still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. for me it isn't really a political issue (in other words, i wouldn't care with literally any other president) so much as a trump is a terrible monstrous buffoon issue. nobody should visit him. the absurdity of everything coming from that administration on a near daily basis is almost beyond my comprehension. Yeah. Like, I get that the Astros still went*; I get why any team would up sending some kind of representation for a WH visit regardless of who is in office (though I would prefer as many people opting out as possible just for basic human decency). The unforgivable part to me is that the Cubs got their WH visit and then inexplicably went back a second time. *Jose Altuve FTW:

Never forget (or forgive) that the Cubs opted to visit the Trump WH for NO horsefeathering REASON SINCE THEY HAD ALREADY SHOWN UP AFTER WINNING THE WS as we hear all of the brouhaha over the Eagles (the horsefeathering EAGLES) being awesome and not going.
