Pitch count, dude. I'm not worried about him taking out Wood, just worried about him putting in Aardsma specifically. -
Even a dog has his day. Or Neifi Perez. Aardsma's in? Does Dusty hate Wood?
-
Freddie isn't just bad, he's... BYNUMBINGLY-BAD!!!
-
He was not available Yesterday and his wife had the baby yesterday. He is back today. Hmmm...maybe the funk was a mental thing, and having that kid will see him come out and dominate again. I hope.
-
MURTOWNED!!!!
-
Wow...Wood finishes 6 full innings exactly on pitch 85. I say don't tempt fate and pull him out.
-
Is Dempster not at the game today? Something about his wife having their baby?
-
Schlock Jones has pulled his 3rd Slap Nasty of the game. He's a righty, Jacque! HIT IT!!!
-
I'm not sure I can blame him for having no confidence in Pierre at this point, though. But. If he doesn't, then the guy shouldn't be hitting leadoff. Or in the starting lineup. DFA :D Hey, I can dream can't I? Well, Pierre is still enough of a name that I think they could net something for him if they trade him. Nowhere near what they gave up, but it's better than just dumping him.

Wood's ERA is below 5!
-
Wombat?? Womack. Mine sounds more feral and yet also more adorable.
-
This is where you show it for real, Wombat.
-
Hmmmm...maybe Prior will come back hitting, too.
-
Or possibly a leadoff is he goes back to being more patient. Though either way would be fine by me...ideally, Murton and Walker filling the 1-2 spots in the lineup once Lee is back is the way to go.
-
"Injury delay?!?" With Walker, Wood or Griffey, it's a total toss up...
-
Yeah, and that damn greedy Nomar.
-
Man, the Cubs love trying to drive it straight out these last few days.
-
The Wombat cannot be stopped.
-
D'uh.
-
I wanna see Pierre lose it and try and steal 1st.
-
What's the opposite of a sure thing?
-
He pitched VERY well in the 1st inning that game. Then he got rocked in the 2nd and 3rd, then got back on track.
-
Pray for the Cubs.

Aardsma up, Ryu down

That's what people are saying about Guzman...three years ago. -
I'll bet if Hendry saw just a picture of Kurt Rambis holding a baseball, he'd offer him a multi-year contract to play for the Cubs.
