    I am so high on the trade Zambrano bandWGN it's not even funny. Damn that ARod for being this awesome! I think the big alternative in a "trade for impact now" is Cabrera. Spin Z off for a couple can't-miss prospects, package them with whoever is needed (Murton incuded and almost assured) in the Cubs' farm system (minus Pie) and go for Baby Pujols. I know we still have a crowded outfield, but at that point just trade Jones and package him with a reliever or two to get a hopefully decent prospect or two. Plug Cabrera in LF as the #3 hitter, Pie in CF, Soriano in RF.

    Our ace is a basket case who still can't meltdown even when he's leading by 3 or more runs. That's not even close to being very good. I know everyone loves heaping on the bullpen right now, but it's not like it's a disaster. The main weakness is our sleepy offense. Some guys are eventually going to break out because of their history (Soriano in a big way, Jacque in a less big way), but Lee's lack of power is worrisome given his injury last year. I know he's got a bunch of double so far, but he hasn't had anything slapped down by the wind moreso than a guy like DeRosa. Maybe this is just the current variation of his old slow starts...I hope so. Even if it is, Zambrano needs to be traded to pump up the offense ASAP before he flakes out even more.

    Thank God Hill and Lilly are the next pitchers and the bullpen won't have to be used as much. Thanks a lot, "Ace."

    I think it has more to do with the Cubs' offense randomly and repeatedly deciding to forget to show up.

    Trade Miller. Trade Zambrano. Trade Eyre.

    This is so frustrating. First I wanted Miller to do decent just so the Cubs would get a great return on him in a trade. Then with Prior in limbo, I wanted him to do well so it would be easier to survive trading Zambrano for the kick in the pants this offense needs. Now he just sucks. Like this season has so far. Nuts.

    Even if he had hit 3 or 4 at this point, I'd still think that trading Z for a bat a la Arod or Cabrera for #3 is best and Lee being the permanent #2 hitter is best. Lee is just so damn good at getting on base, and any power he would have there would just be delicious cake.

    He said this? What a douche. Yeah, trying to find the link...but I saw it on the news last night, as he left podium he said "He gonna get hit" I'd love it if after Sammy gets drilled he just calmly walks over to the Sox's dugout and slugs Ozzie.

    Z's failings are going to be highlighted even moreso today when we really need him to be the ace he isn't. The Trade Z BandWGN is now accepting all passengers for boarding. I know ARod is lighting things up right now, but I think Z and a reliever would look real good to the Yankees right now for him, especially with the pitching gap they have.

    It's all "gut feeling," but this team hasn't seemed like a winning streak-type of team for a couple of years now. The last two seasons, the streak after Prior's shot to the elbow aside, every win has felt like some kind of momentous effort, and the idea of winning even just two in a row seems crazy. So far this hasn't changed at all this year.

    Its easy to pitch well when the game doesnt count...crap. There were alot of people saying that about Hill last year. Did you just compare Will Ohman to Rich Hill?
