    Wow. I just got home from this (couldn't stay out...cut classes for these last minute tickets, so I gotta make up for it by actually doing my damn homework), and man, I have not been this happy seeing the Cubs in a while. Yeah, I've seen them a dozen or so times live this season, but this is the first one that really just "felt" so great. The atmosphere around the ballpark before and after was just so much fun, and during it felt like we were winning the whole damn thing. I really just hope they can turn this one game into some kind of momentum for the next 2-3 weeks. I know it wasn't really dramatic, but short of THE miracle happening, this was my favorite "live" Cubs game this year. Thanks, boys.

    Lee, Ramirez, Floyd and Ward have 11 combined HRs against Morris Lee is batting .357 off him while Ramirez is at .349 Soriano is also 4-6 I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Floyd doesn't even hit it out of the infield when he gets the start. I'd rather start Ward.

    It was a good start, but he still walked 5 guys and had to be saved from a serious jam at the end. He did much better than he had been doing, but better teams will make us pay for stuff like that.

    That was your second post freaking out over Howry...do you really think he's that bad? i know he's not that bad, but i've never been that confident with him in there. and you have a weird perception of "freaking out" Well, you posted twice bemoaning Howry coming out in very short succession. Maybe it was just hyperbole, but your worrying was pretty obvious.

    Man, I guess I'm one of the few that really doesn't worry when Howry comes in. He looked terrible the first month this season, but otherwise he's been one of the team's most reliable and effective relievers his entire time with Chicago.

    Wow, Z gave up 5 walks? He looked much better tonight, but that part of his game is just awful. Better teams will make him pay dearly for walking that many guys.
