    The grays as is look classic, especially when the players wear their socks the right way and have blue sleeves all the way down to their wrists. The blues in all of their various versions look like beer-league softball uniforms.

Soto had a 2-run shot, Aramis had 2 3-run shots, Soriano lead off wih a solo shot. Even with all that, the Piraes tied it up 7-7 at one point, I believe thanks to a Marquis meltdown.

    I love that the guy with "leg issues for several years" was a rare 40/40 player just one season ago.

    Why not? Soriano poses a serious threat at the top of the order, and it's not like he gets on base at a horrible clip. Putting better hitters directly after him would likely make him even more of a threat with the pitches he'd see.

    Almost all of Major League Baseball thought for years that the home run was a "fad" and hitting a bunch of them was basically unsportsmanlike. Almost all of Major League Baseball still thinks the save is an awesome stat. I can trump that. The Cy Young is mostly hinged on a pitcher's W-L record. Pitcher's W-L is one of the dumbest stats ever created in any sport. Damn right.
