  1. ALL HAIL THE PINSTRIPES. Send the Blues back to the hideous jersey hell they belong in.
  2. Jesus, look at the size of Murts forearms... I like that it looks like Lee just busted Murton trying to cop a feel.
  3. That sentence structure should be worthy of jailtime. Dear Lord, it hurts to read.
  4. That sounds like palpitations. I had em because of dehydration & stress. Yeah, that's exactly what they are. Spicy foods, stress, alcohol, sugar, even indigestion can bring them on. My first clue that it wasn't actually my heart (besides not being short of breath, in pain, dizzy, etc.) was that I never get them while exercising. Working out helps relax me, so they're never noticeable then.
  5. I thought I was having symptoms of this or worse a few years ago when I started getting weird "fluttering" feelings in my chest like my heart was missing beats. I was suddenly getting them several times a day and even several times in succession. I was convinced some kind of heart defect was making itself known. Truns out that the muscle or whatever tha stimulates the heart pumping was basically "firing too often." The heart itself beats normally, but it feels like it's missing beats. I've had several examinations to track my heart and it's fine, bt ma, it freaked me out at first. Apparently pretty much everyone has these, they just vary in how strong they are and are brought on by stress and even diet.
  6. If Lee is being moved from #3 and we're not getting Roberts, why can't he just hit #2?
  7. No oil. I'm using dressing or having a sexy nude salad.
  8. [i find the perception that Harry's "legacy" is being "tarnished" with the celebrities is contrasted by Harry spending booth time during his last game with Tom-freakin'-Arnold. MY GOD, WHAT HAVE LOST?
  9. Those would all be great throwback uniforms to dust off from time to time. Count me in with the people that don't like the Cuba script. It looks like a high school girls softball team logo. I actually really like the grays, especially with blue sleeves and blue socks pulled up, but I prefer the "formal" script they use now.
  10. That's what we have the trade deadline for. I can almost guarantee that if the Cubs make the playoffs, you'll see new faces on the playoff roster. Why is it acceptable to wait until the trade deadline to make improvements that you know are neccessary? So we can pay more? There are bound to be players not currently available that will become available by the deadline. There are always teams that consider themselves contenders going into the season that realize they aren't as the deadline approaches. Right. Even the crappiest teams tend to be a little delusional going into a new season.
  11. A little bit of column A, and a little bit of column B.
  12. I hear the trade is all but done, but they're holding off anouncing it so as not steal the spotlight from Lee's beard.
  13. I disagree. I think they should have one day a season where they wear red and donate the proceeds to a charity that is associated with red like the Red Cross, or China or something. I don't mind red tops myself. Personally I want some more blue tops (mainly for the roadies). The Cubs current road uniforms suck hardcore. I want the powdered blues back. "And YOU, sir, are worse than Hitler." "*SLAP*"
  14. Word on the street is that they'll wear throwback unis at least once in 2008. I'm all for classic if "classic" actually means more than 20-25 years old.
  15. If true, Lou and Hendry must really like Fuld. If true, I hope it's only Pie for Roberts straight up. #-o Hart and Gallagher also did not pitch today. Don't know but If I hope it has nothing to do "trade related" Good Lord. I doubt they're being traded, but if that was the case, two decent or one slamdunk porspect better be coming back with Roberts.
  16. If true, Lou and Hendry must really like Fuld. Or they just hedge that bets that Colvin or E-Patt will pay off in a year or two and sign Lofton in the meantime.
  17. OH NO, ANOTHER MONTH OF ALL OF US FANS HAVING TO DO ASOLUTELY NOTHING.
  18. The trade is done, but Hendry doesn't want to take the spotlight away from the Bulls' big trade.
  19. Yeah, it's obviously a gun problem. well actually it is this kid walked in and bought 5 guns from a rundown house that claims to be a gun shop does somebody need 5 guns gee here kid heres 5 guns go out and have fun, dont worry you could have the guns today so yeah its a gun problem you moron oh i see your a republican loser Folks, please don't take the troll bait.
  20. Jeff Goldblum is going to have a monster year for the Yanks.
  21. Agreed, though this doesn't bug me as much since they have so many quality options in the bullpen. I'm hoping Dempster stays in the rotation only if Lou and co. thinks he can string together enough performances to stir some trade interest.
  22. KOSUKE. SOCKS UP OR THE DEAL'S OFF.
  23. Answer: Dempster is a serviceable closer, but it's pretty foolish to keep him there if you have 2 or 3 other relief pitchers who are much better in that role. And out of him ad 2 of those pitchers (Howry and Wood), Dempster currently has the best shot at having a go at starting again. If he succeeds and isn't terrible, the Cubs get some decent starting pitching and/or can trade him.
  24. As opposed to what?
