    For who? Edmonds is old and brittle and might be losing his briefly refound luster...Johnson is not good against righties...Fontenot could easily regress with more playing time, plus any little boost you'd get in hitting is likely offset by the sharp decline in defense.

    Bingo. Ideally, this would kill 2 birds with one stone if they could find a corner masher to hit #3 next year instead of Lee with Derrek batting #2 or #5 instead. Despite his batting woes, Kosuke is dynamite defenisvely and should be able to handle CF in a platoon with Johnson. Yeah, that's an expensive platoon, but you can't just leave him out there fulltime in a primo offensive slot if he doesn't drastically improve. Was Tex a bad RF or is he going to stay at 1st from here on? I'll defer to others since I really don't know, but if he can play it even just barely passably, I'd happily suffer through his defense for that bat...or hell, move Soriano to RF and put Tex in LF.     Seems kind of odd to pin that game on Fukudome or single him out when really nobody did anything outside of DeRosa. Fuku's production is obviously way below what you want for a corner outfielder, but I don't see why Lou is mad at anyone but himself for not batting Kosuke lower in the lineup these days.

    Don't go to any playoff games, please. I'm just as bad. Been to 10 games, 7 losses. That almost doesn't seem possible. Even worse, 6 of those losses were the first 6 games I went to this year.

    Theres usually a lot of anger after a loss, not usually quite this much carnage and civil war. I guess the feeling of being pushed down to an unsurmountable 5 games in first really hit home with some people. Half of the thread apparently had inexplicably bet their mothers not being tied up and burned alive on tonight's game.

    One time I was on jury dury during an incest / rape case. The chick on the stand said the guy touched her "vergina." I laughed out loud from the jury box. It was funny. . . . . VERGINA!!!!! (vur-jen-uh) We gave the guy the maximum penalty allowed by law, by the way. You need the extra"er" at the end for maximum hoo-ha. Like when yer pellin' pertaters. Or when Luke goes to see Yoder.
