  1. Ceda definitely had and has the potential, but he really seems to be struggling keeping the weight down and that's just going to get harder to do after each year.
  2. "Crapshoot" is fitting since a badnews' thread is the equivalent of him bending over, spreading his cheeks and just blasting [expletive] all over the place.
  3. Has he ever done anything besides the latter?
  4. Oh, hey, badnews didn't quit. Again.
  5. I wonder who the rumored trade target will be this offseason. I look forward to the inevitable 200+ page "Cubs interested in (superstar player)" thread. Out of random curiosity, is there anything you actually enjoy about the Cubs/baseball/being a Cubs fan? It seems like this is all agony for you no matter what happens.
  6. Yeah, that was pretty ridiculous. I'll happily welcome these Pirates since the Cubs play them, what, 8 more times this season?
  7. Capper to a pretty shitty year for Felix, but good for him.
  8. I don't think it would necessarily be too hard to trade Miles in the offseason given that he only has 1 year left. There was inexplicably interest in him from multiple teams before he was signed. He was also coming off of an ok year last year though wasn't he? He still has the ridiculous reputation of being somewhat versatile. I'm not saying the same demand would be there, but there would be interest to the point that I wouldn't be surprised if he could be dealt with the Cubs paying anything. The return would likely be negligible, but really, who cares?
  9. Halladay light years ahead of everyone else on that list. If not him, then Reyes, though I don't think he'll be available. After him, Prince.

  11. You seem to be having trouble with something.
  12. The conundrum that is Cedeno: gets to balls that Theriot never would and throws like Theriot only dreams he could yet seemingly makes a bajillion times more errors.
  13. Fine, but that strike 2 should have been out onto the streets.
  14. Soriano, for the love of all that is sacred, get at least one [expletive] run in.
  15. Or he had an unusually long slump due to the knee issues and now he's back to his usual streaky self. Leg issues in a guy with a ton of middle-infield miles on his legs, who got a lot of his value in the past from speed, is not a good sign. It's not a good sign in regards to his speed, but it's not necessarily the end of the world in regards to his hitting. He could never steal another base again and still be one of the most valuable bats they have.
  16. Soriano's gonna break my heart and make the first out.
  17. My dad and I had bleacher seats on a practice day for the air show a few years ago and it was pretty awesome.
  18. Hallowed AT&T Park where few players get out alive, let alone with a win. The only thing scarier is facing Jake Peavy in the World Series.
