  1. I'm pissed that he didn't include Aramis in the truck since Steve Buchelle is still alive.
  2. Prior's available.
  3. Sammy never officially retired.
  4. I like the way this guy thinks. Can we elect him to something?
  5. I don't think the new owners will fire Hendry, partly because it's a transition period and partly because there's a very good chance that the budget will be limited at least through next year and that any new GM would be severely limited by that and the current contracts. If that is indeed the case, why hire a new guy just to take the fall for someone else's mess that they can't do much of anything about? I wouldn't be surprised if Lou walks, but I'd very suprised if Hendry was fired.
  6. Oh man, the life lectures from the guy who spazzes out and basically lives here are hysterical. "I'm going to make fun of this guy for being online and posting in a game thread on amessage board on a Wedensday night by being online and positing in a game thread on a message board on a Wedensday night. IT'S FOOLPROOF." Yeah, we both spend too much time obsessing about a bad baseball team, at least Im willing to admit it and leave it at that. You do realize that not everyone who is a fan of this team doesn't act like everything is the end of the world or is actually "obsessed" with the team, right? It's this same type of thinking that leads you to brand anyone who doesn't act like the world is coming to an end and being a Cubs fan is such a horrible thing everytime they do poorly or something goes wrong as an "optimist."

  8. I wish they could pull Lee, Theriot, Bradley and Soriano, but I guess they can really only pull Theriot and one of Bradley or Soriano.
  9. At least you recognize how helpless you are in the face of such overwhelming dominance.
  10. the lone optimist. You're profoundly stupid. You're the one who thinks this team has a chance. You're remarkably moronic.

  12. EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF. TRAMPLE THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN AND USE THEIR BODIES TO SURVIVE.
  13. I can only assume Fuld himself wrote this article.
  14. Then I guess the Cardinals are doomed since they'll have to face your nightmare scenario of Jake Peavy in the World Series.
  15. Maybe. How many of the remaining games are against teams above .500?
  16. That about sums it up. They are an extremely mediocre team who takes advantage of the teams below them and gets beat up by the teams above them. Haven't they only won 2 series' against teams with winning records this season? Mediocrity at its finest right there Out of curioisty, how many series have the Phillies won against teams with winning records? 7. mostly against the marlins. Interesting.
  17. should that be in green? The only guy Id walk Soriano to get to at this point is Miles. That's ridiculous. Granted, Baker had 4 hits, but still: NSBB hyperbole strikes again. Soriano has been absolutely horrible since Lou rested him in game 1 vs. Florida. why walk him to push the runner into scoring position when you have a guy whose 4-4 coming to the plate? Soriano has shown several times this year he can win games walkoff-style while either looking like ass the rest of the game or while been mired in a horrid slump. I forgot that Fuld wouldn't have been up after Baker, though even so I wouldn't have been surprised if they opted to walk Soriano.

  20. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. So frustrating.
  21. I'm surprised they're not walking Soriano.
