  1. I'd rather have Bosh than Wade. I mean, it's obviously not like having Wade is a bad thing at all, but I think it would better fit the Bulls if they could come away with Bosh and Joe Johnson as opposed to Wade.
  2. And what percentage of the BBWAA do you think will pause long enough to remember that before they start writing indignant articles? He started doing it 1995 and then repeated his request to be tested every year after that. He appeared before the whole Mitchell brouhaha and flatly stated it yet again. When names have been tossed around of 90's players who people assume have juiced I never see him come up. I think his stance on the matter is pretty well known amongst the voters.
  3. Is he really going to be held back by the steroid issue? He was basically out there in the middle of it demanding to be tested, plus he was always gigantic, even when he was a kid.
  4. I hate you.
  5. There's is absolutely no reason for a team as limited as they are money-wise at the moment to sign another reliever. They have more than enough in-house options.
  6. It's edited by Al Yellon. Makes sense. Ewwwwwwwwwww.
  7. You'd think there's probably only one guy actually putting that stupid thing together.
  8. You'd think at least one guy at that magazine what have in his job description "DO NOT LET COVER PHOTO MAKE 'ANNUAL' LOOK LIKE 'ANAL.'" Seems pretty basic.
  9. [expletive], if you were looking at lefties to emulate in the 90's then Bonds-Griffey-Gwynn have to be the holy trinity.
  10. It was the only thing he offered up as a reason and all I did was note that other respected leagues have teams with stupid names. Well, for one, you're not the reason police so nobody has to justify their dislike of arena football to you; and for two, the point was simply that it's a really intentionally dumb way to spell a team name. Nobody was making a point about stupid team names in general.
  11. At least they used letters. I'm grasping what he's saying, but I just think it's stupid to not take a sport seriously because a team is given a stupid name. A Sox is stupd, a Knick is stupid, the Mets are stupid. Minor league baseball is filled with stupid names but it's still a decent form of sport. How do you know that's anybody's one reason for not taking it seriously? It was simply the most glaringly stupid thing he chose to comment on.
  12. "Sox" was at least an actual acceptable and formal way to spell the plural of "sock." It's definitely old timey and out of date, but it's nowhere near is willfully stupid as "Dawgz."
  13. Packers? Sorry NFL, not taking you seriously. That's ridiculous and you know it. No I don't. It's a stupid name that people accept because it's been around. Not taking a league seriously because of a dumb team name doesn't make sense to me. Don't take it seriously because it's a bastardized version of football played indoors with crazy rules, but because some hicks decided to name their team something stupid? gooney, how are you not grasping this? Nobody gives a crap if they're called the "Yard Dogs." What's ridiculous is spelling it "Yard Dawgz." Yes, sports is filled with ridiculous names. The NFL team of nation's capital rocks an ethnic slur, but even they don't spell it "Red$kinz."
  14. That might work is they were known as the Packrrrrrz.
  15. Clubhouse cancer.
  16. He's been in the discussion for that award, however, he's taken a hit in reputation the past couple years, and despite some highlights this season, he is not all that highly rated right now. Yeah, there doesn't seem to be anyone overrating him these days except for some Saints fans.
  17. It should just be common sense that Theriot is not an average SS defensively. He doesn't have the range; he clearly doesn't have the arm. He's got some speed, but not nearly enough to make up for his other defensive deficiencies. Theriot could basically be the poster child for how UZR's flaws.
  18. WHAT A DICK.
  19. It seems you have very high expectations if you go into a season expecting "awe-inspiring."
  20. David, I want to give you karma but I can't. Why is that?
  21. Faaaaaannntastic.
  22. Was Olsen much of a blocker in college?
  23. What does calling a player a "mope" even mean?
  24. Yeah, it's not like they're missing Rose or Noah or anything. They're certainly not critical parts of this team. That doesn't excuse the lack of effort. They're just not a very good team. Lack of effort has little to do with the end result of a game like this.
