  1. This is crazy talk. Your ridiculous, scrambling take on this non-issue is why I said you're "worked up."
  2. Presumably the comment was after someone specifically asked about or brought up Byrd because he was the one significant signing. I highly doubt that Hendry, out of nowhere, just went off on that tangent as you seem to be implying. It's not really anything to get worked up over since someone has to really jump through hoops to see this as being negative.
  3. I really don't see where the "insult" is. He's basically saying in a more idealized lineup Byrd would hit left handed. It's not like he slammed him for not being able to hit leftie or bemoaned having him on the team.
  4. He slapped his noggin with a dirty jockstrap.
  5. Gibson has been looking really good. Hopefully he's just going to expand that core of Rose-Noah-Deng in terms of good young players that people are going to want to be on a team with.
  6. A good second baseman is even more fun.
  7. WE'VE MADE A HUGE MISTAKE.
  8. Not a surprise, but still wonderful. I hope to one day see a thread title without the "in Arbitration" part.
  9. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it doesn't look like they're losing in Minnesota. What? It's perfectly rational to call a game an hour and a half before it's over.
  10. Oh, good God.
  11. Millar is a baseball parasite at this point.
  12. That is why I didn't like seeing him signed to a "harmless" minor league contract. First you got the media going all "idiots" on them, and then you run the risk of the team actually buying into that chemistry/experience/champion/player nonsense. It was actually a little disconcerting since the Score segment did involve a reporter with the Cubs (I forget which one) doing most of the fawning over Millar because's "such a great guy" and "so much fun." You know what else is fun? Winning. You know who won't help a baseball team do that? Kevin Millar.
  13. and some of them work. better than sticking with something that wasn't Though in this case Zambrano is dropping a pitch that has arguably worked very well for him.
  14. Between this and the lovefest the Score was giving Millar earlier today (their logic is that the Chicago teams need him and Damon because they were on the Red Sox in 2004 and were the chief "Idiots" and inspire ye olde clubhouse shemistry so therefore = World Series), I dread this washed up hump somehow making it onto the roster.
  15. Do you want to explain your declaration that the trades yesterday somehow leave the Bulls shorthanded for the rest of the season? I mean, I know most of the talk yesterday was about acquiring the expiring contracts for players, but the Bulls do actually get to use those players the rest of the season. That and it's not like the ended up with a significant dropoff in ability in regards to what they traded and what they got in return. Any talk like "the season is over" or "the season doesn't matter now" is ridiculous. They traded Tyrus Thomas and John Salmons.

  17. So much whoosh.
  18. No, his "arse." He's a fancy lad.
  19. Toilet paper is really, really, really important. Unless one prefers wiping using...other means.
  20. Yeah, If LeBron opts to sign with a different team that has more money to spend, you know he's gonna be calling up other FA's he wants to sign there, too. The Bulls need Rose on the [expletive] phones.
  21. The Knicks may have money, but remember that their decisions over the last decade have lead to this kind of discontent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-NoRMWEBVo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_G6LFWSihw
  22. I did too. Well, like 99%, anyway. Of course, I can be a bit neurotic when it comes to these things. I watched game seven from start to finish, but I definitely had a sinking feeling the only briefly abated when Wood homered. Not watching game 7 is a bit ridiculous, but I can't imagine most fans didn't have a bad feeling after game 6. I don't think fans of other teams would have felt much differently, either, had they been in our shoes. The whole thing just stank. Oh, I definitely went into game 7 myself with an ominous, beaten feeling. That said, I also went into realizing the game still has to be played and none of this stuff is decided ahead of time.
  23. CASE CLOSED.
