No, I don't think he should be booed as much as he is, but I certainly understand why it happens. If you can't figure that out, I think there must be something wrong with you. Wait, what? Of course everyone knows why it's happening. The point is that it's stupid to get on a guy every single game when he hasn't even done anything remotely "bad" in that game. It's not "understandable;" it's stupid scapegoating that makes the fans look dumb. Even the best players are going to make outs, so getting on a guy for simply making the 3rd out in the 2nd inning of a 0-0 game when nobody else had gotten a hit to that point is ridiculous.

Earn his paycheck? Sure, but it's beyond moronic to single him out when he strikes out when nobody else on the team has a [expletive] hit. Because the fans are booing him based off that one at bat? They're booing him every time he makes an out regardless of what else he's done in the game or what anyone else has done. It's stupid.
