I would think Z, Lilly and Dempster all fall under the "semi-big" tag, which is why this has me a little nervous, though I'm leaning to Z definitely not being it. I think the perception, for better or for worse, around baseball is generally that he's a "big name" because he's the de facto ace of the team. -
Enough of this. Let's get to talking about Noah's pimpness. Dude talks crazy [expletive] before the game and then goes out and dominates. Easily my favorite Chicago athlete these days.

Yeah, "trying for a home run" isn't a problem since that's inherent to his approach as a hitter. When he's on he's still just up there trying to clobber everything.

True. It would be one thing if it seemed like his timing was off, but he's basically just flailing at everything thrown his way.

Sadly, I really don't see Lou getting fired. The really doesn't see a negative perception of him from the majority of the fan base, nor is there much questioning or criticism of him from the media.

I think some people are being a little too defensive. The Cardinals fans that post here are, by and large, respectful non-trolls and are actually pretty cool.

He's had Aprils where he's started slow, so this is frustrating but not really all that surprising. I don't see why it's necessary to accuse him of a "phantom injury." Why is it so unlikely that he actually was injured (especially since he has a relatively extensive injury history), and as such missed a lot of spring training and is off to a slow start at least partly because of that?

I think Byrd has played better than his numbers show, I really do. What, OBP-wise? How? I'm not slamming the guy for it per se; more pointing out how ridiculous it is for him to be leading off.
