  1. Oh, Len. Don't give Lou any more ideas. There's no reason to have Hill catch in the 9th.
  2. Geo is, what, 2-2 with 3 walks and an RBI tonight? MOVE HIM AND SORI UP!
  3. Nice job by Berg and Grabow. Good job by Marshall, too, until Lou left him in there too long.
  4. No kidding. The bullpen is never going to get any better if Lou refuses to use any of the "kids" in low leverage situations.
  5. [expletive], Lou has no clue how to handle a bullpen.
  6. Why was Marshall going back out with a 5-run lead? So dumb.
  7. And you know for sure that his streaky ways in the past aren't similarly accountable?
  8. Sure, but the Bulls only need to get 1. It's not like the Knicks have a higher max amount they can offer. Let's say Bosh is deciding between the Knicks and the Bulls: both teams can pay him the same. Sure, the Knicks may have also signed someone like a Joe Johnson, but the Bulls already have Rose and Noah. The Knicks aren't really going to blow away anyone in terms of being a destination unless that first max FA is LeBron. Yes, but they will drive up the prices of players who might not really be deserving of a max contract. True, though if the Bulls don't get any of the guys who actually deserve max contracts then it's a failure regardless.
  9. You're getting silly. I'm pointing out that there's no evidence he's stopped sucking against righties willing to throw him something that is not all inside pitches. Look up the pitchfx data yourself if you want to see. I've seen it. If you're going to nitpick Soriano to that degree then you can't even justify him having a career in the majors at all, much less just pointing out how he's had a decent start to the season. He's an enigma that way, as is the question of why don't teams just pitch only to his obvious flaws. What's silly is expecting that teams are going to suddenly start only pitching away from him when they haven't been for a decade now.
  10. RH pitcher lineup for the time being: Fukudome Byrd Lee Soriano Soto Aramis Fontenot Theriot LH lineup for the time being: Baker Byrd Lee Soriano Soto Aramis Nady Theriot

  12. Make 'em put the ball in play, hard hits or otherwise. There's 9 fielders to make a play (countdown to a Soriano comment). Beats giving hitters a free base via walks!! They're not "just outs." It's the same as looking at a hitter who has been largely unlucky because they're hitting the ball hard but right at defenders. If a pitcher is getting wailed on for several innings it's not a good sign even if they're almost all loud outs. It's much more encouraging to see him have something like the 4th as opposed to guys continuing to see him well.
  13. Man, Lee's been robbed twice by Wright tonight.
  14. Much better inning from Silva. Hopefully he settles in more along those lines as opposed to giving up all the hard hit fly outs.
  15. Not without a sign in trade in which Deng or Hinrich and some combination went out in exchange. I don't want Wade though to be perfectly honest. Him and Rose's skills will not compliment each other at all and each will be less effective. If the Bulls want the best bang for their buck this offseason (outside of Lebron of course) they should target Bosh as their main FA. Him and Ros playing pick and roll would be awesome. Just add some additional shooters and defenders. After signing Wade or Bosh by the way, we'd have roughly $4.3M to spend on another FA piece. Totally agree on hoping they end up with Bosh as opposed to Wade. Is that $4.3 million with the raised cap? Yes, it is based on a 56.1M cap figure. It also assumes that Chris Richard's salary next year is completely unguranteed, which I assume it is. At worst, you'd have to add an additional cap liability of $380,785, which is the difference of having Richard's salary as a cap hold, and having the minimum salary as a cap hold. Chris Bosh_________$16,568,908 Luol Deng__________$11,345,000 Kirk Hinrich_________$9,000,000 Derrick Rose________$5,546,160 Free Agent_________$4,483,100 Joakim Noah________$3,128,536 James Johnson______$1,713,600 #17 Pick____________$1,302,600 Taj Gibson__________$1,117,680 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Total Salary_______$56,100,000 Thanks for that breakdown!
  16. All of these loud outs by the Mets do not bode well at all.

I want the best team and the Bulls have plenty of money to spend. Bosh would probably make the Bulls better more than if they added Wade.
  18. As much as it pains me to likely see more Chad Tracy, Aramis needs to get a game or two off.
