  1. rose is dreamy I think I was too generous: http://www.nba.com/media/knicks/rosememphisheadshotin.jpg "Give us a kiiiiiiiiiiiissssssssss..." Basketball: ugly sport or the ugliest sport?
  2. I have. It's why I was sad to see Miller go.
  3. Rose is pretty awkward-looking, too. This is an ugly team.
  4. Good points.
  5. It might seem contradictory, but I think the greater the offensive catcher, the more you want to limit his starts. Catching takes a serious toll, and I think the point of diminishing returns, in terms of playing time, is much lower for that position. Would 135 really be pushing it? That's still almost 30 starts off plus off days. I don't know if there's a magic number, I'm just saying I have less of a problem with a strong hitting catcher having more rests. 135 starts would probably be fine, but now we're talking about the difference of a start every 2 weeks. 15 games is pretty significant with a hitter this productive, especially when the alternative is usually really bad.
  6. Man, bring on West. That would rule.
  7. If we're going to trade for one of the two, I'd much rather trade for Gonzalez, especially if the Nats' demands are as high as they sound. I think Gonzalez is going to cost more (in prospects) than Dunn. Of course he is. He's a much better player and he's almost 3 years younger. I'd much rather see the Cubs trade for him instead off Dunn.

  9. 120 starts isn't nearly enough for a catcher who hits as well as Soto, but I'm saying that without taking into account the nature of the Cubs schedule with all the extra day games. That said, a young catcher who hits that well should be getting 135-140 starts unless they have some kind of injury issue.
  10. SPREAD THE GOOD WORD: http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f19/TheMojoPin/hope-1.png I hope to bump this pic many, many times.
  11. This has turned into a remarkable game of turnaround. Erik can't even prove his own point, yet continually demands that everyone must prove him "wrong." He's enormous, and now he's slamming other people for being fat. WHERE WILL IT END?!?!
  12. Yeah, they should get rid of all of them. Not a one of them is useful at all. Not a single one. None. There plenty useful, just not when to comes to winning baseball games. Too right. None of them have any future with this team.
  13. Here come the futility records.
  14. Yeah, they should get rid of all of them. Not a one of them is useful at all. Not a single one. None.
  15. You didn't even prove your own point in the first place. How is it possible you aren't grasping this at all?
  16. Wait, why? Neither of you have shown what the Cubs did to have been exceptional.
  17. HEADLINE: Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Orange County sells out their complete inventory of towels. =D> http://www.chucknorrishiking.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/dsc_01041.jpg
  18. Honestly, it seems like every time there's a game where one team gets killed and the other wins by putting up football numbers you hear about it was the first time since so-and-so that a team did or didn't do this or that.
  19. Damn, I hope the Bulls sign him in time.
  20. Hmmmmm, yes, that's the logical conclusion.
