  1. Hahahahaahaah!
  2. I agree, this savage needs to be locked up.
  3. I love how Deng was singled out as being a "black British guy," as if it somehow was a flaw. Really, that whole post should have been demolished.
  4. When you're young hotness you can do that. The NBA are desperate to give Old Man Celtics another shot at things so they give them time to heal their brittle bodies.
  5. Or there's all the obvious changes in his swing and approach at the plate. Unless you somehow think that is PED-enhanced, too. Why does it have to be one or the other? Remember when Sammy Sosa changed his swing in 1998? Remember when he turned into a gigantic monster? Do we really have to take the Soul way of things and be afraid and not trust everything and everyone? It's really frustrating to see people laying out and quoting and linking to the really well done analysis that makes it perfectly clear the huge difference in Bautista's offensive approach prior to the end of 2009 and then afterwards. He started raking at the end of 2009 because he started making obvious changes with his swing and stance. He didn't suddenly balloon up or even get significantly bigger; yet of course you have people leaping to the idea of steroids. It's really disappointingly lazy.

  7. I always assume all of the games on the godforsaken west coast trips are late games. It feels like it.
  8. Bulls are going to win this series handily, but they are going to get [expletive] annihilated by the Heat.
  9. Am I crazy or doesn't Berkman hit lefty most of the time? Has he dropped switch hitting and I didn't notice it? The only strictly right handed option Hendry had this offseason was Konerko and he wasn't really an option at all. Derrek Lee says hello A lot of people do. It's polite. not when i'm wearing a cape ssr is going to SWARM-SWARM-SWARM your sister.
  10. Yeah, went to the scoreboard to see what time tonight they were playing and saw it was the 8th inning. How many weekday day games do the Dodgers play? I totally assumed this was another night game. What the funk.
  11. I certainly hope he didn't, but April was about as abysmal as it gets. Yes, but that's April. And even if Berkman ends up having a much better year it's ridiculous to act like this was some kind of huge mistake at the time of the signing out of anything other than the benefit of hindsight, when it's not something that could have been argued definitively when both were available as FA.
  12. You're twisting this for a really torturous conclusion, mainly because we have no idea yet whether or not Hendry got "burned" on signing Pena over Berkman and because we don't know whether the main factor of signing Pena over Berkman was him being a lefty.
  13. Right: more pitches outside, more offspeed pitches. This is going to be a key period of adjustment for him since most teams are likely going to have realized he's a fastball-murderin' machine.
  14. Eyeballing it, no, he seems to be mostly weakly grounding out and popping out during this slump.
  15. Yeah, Aramis' numbers aren't very impressive at all given his role on the team.
  16. Sah-weet. Nice win! Go for the winning road trip tomorrow.
  17. Wow, Soto very well may have been dead at the plate if that wasn't cut off.
  18. Really was expecting Kemp to lay out for that one.
