    You have...complicated ideas about how a baseball team should be run. If the team is playing well, and the rest of the starting rotation is doing well, then why wouldn't you want to be able to ride that to try and get a guy who would be REALLY VALUABLE if he was a good again hopefully back to some semblance of how he's been a very good pitcher? Why would you be looking to bail on him ASAP and effectively punt him being a useful starter not even 1.5 seasons in to his contract? It's not like they need to desperately bolster the rotation or something right now.
