  1. If they get out of this with the lead intact I will name my firstborn Len.
  2. Nah; if the half inning after the stretch is dragging they'll often allow/encourage (politely) the guest to leave. Sounds like Len & Bob just took advantage of the commercial break for the pitching change and ushered him out diplomatically. they almost always (or maybe always) do that with a pitching change. Recently there was somebody who I thought wasn't bad who they got rid of in a hurry. They did it with Dennehy yesterday; no pitching change, but the inning was longer than expected so they thanked him and set him on his way before it was done.

Sounds like Len & Bob just took advantage of the commercial break for the pitching change and ushered him out diplomatically. And then made their disdain for him quite clear after the break. Damn, I missed that part. What did they say?

  5. Some fat chef bragging about how he knows nothing about baseball and then being all obnoxious about his muffins and how he fries his steaks.
  6. Holy [expletive], did they throw that guy out of the window? BUENO.
  7. He's flirting with a .700 OPS, and going into today he was on pace for a 2.7 fWAR season. Bueno bueno. They should totally bench DeJesus.
  8. Yeah, I just viewed his splits. Still, I think the best players should play regardless of what hand the pitcher throws with, outside of scheduled off-days every now and then. Especially when LaHair had his best game yesterday in the past 2 weeks and, it's not like Baker is really hitting anyone this year. Why, if the splits indicate that the batter is horrible against certain handed pitchers? B/c your other option is Jeff Baker, who isnt hitting anybody right now. I'll take my chances with the better player. Baker is still the better hitter against lefties.
  9. LaHair is out of the lineup because he is wretchedly bad against LH pitchers.
  10. I hate this mostly righty lineup that gets featured vs lefty starters. LaHair finally got back on track and Stewart had a nice day at the plate yesterday...and what is their reward? Sit the next day. Yeah, that will help them stay hot at the plate! Stewart I kind of agree with despite having less experience against lefties; LaHair, on the other hand, is just horrible against them.
  11. 32%, 0%...it's the same thing, really.
  12. Baseball doesn't work like that.
  13. Yeah, you almost always have to give BR about a day to update.
  14. Man, I went from being furious at Castro to adoring him in about 2.6 seconds.
  15. I just don't understand it. Now that he's out of the third spot, you'd think he'd be less aggressive ?? Yup, science.
  16. I love when people are arrogant about things they don't understand. I love it when people have their eyes closed. Or their guts?
  17. That's like thinking the Garza trade was a mistake at the start of last season because of the hot start that Fuld got off to. Except Garza has actually had a decent MLB career and has upside. Ian Stewart played in Colorado and was a pretty ineffective baseball player. I'm not saying Colvin is a God or anything, just at this point this trade looks bad. I was never unhappy with the Garza deal anyway so I am not comparing the two deals. The point of the Stewart trade is his upside.
