  1. And apparently it's impossible for him to suck bad enough to be worse than the nightmare that is Aramis Ramirez' laziness.
  2. I don't understand what that's supposed to mean. I'm jealous of you? I want to bang you? Why is "jock riding" supposed to be an insult here?
  3. Wait, what? How often have we seen players leave Colorado and put up better numbers? Colorado can bump up guys' numbers, but you're talking about it like ballplayers there are like Superman getting a suntan. Just because someone doesn't put it together in Colorado doesn't mean they can't have success elsewhere. I mean, Stewart actually had better power numbers AWAY from Coors Field. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hwSI4Bvw4O4/T2WIr0NXiXI/AAAAAAAABaQ/p7JZ5rYwpbE/s1600/sigh.jpg
  4. The point hasn't been that he's been consistently unlucky over 6 seasons; the point is that he's been very unlucky to start THIS season. You've been "attacked" because you've argued that as if that's some kind of impossible scenario in some of the dumbest ways possible.
  5. I respond to you a lot because you post lots of stupid posts.
  6. When his luck normalizes what line can I expect? I'm too lazy to check and I think a lot of people here know anyway so I don't mind asking. I do think they should fix the OF and pitching before 3B since Stewart has some shot to be a decent role player in a more talented lineup. he's hit .233 over SIX SEASONS. his best is 259. all of this in the best hitters park in baseball. you know what that tells me? He's a .233 or below hitter! unless he juices or sells his soul a'la joe hardy (ask your dad about that reference) unless he can play multiple infield positions or outfield-which I am not sure he can, I don;t know how he would be useful to a serious contender So it's impossible that he could improve with a change of scenery and coaching/management?
  7. Brandon Inge's May numbers are inflated by an absurd .561 slugging. Stewart's May surge is also slugging-heavy, but it's more balanced with a .338 OBP. And what the [expletive] do you think people think of Stewart here? Who is pointing to his May as some kind of rock-solid proof that he's figured it out? You're foaming at the mouth over people pointing out that his May numbers hopefully are indicative of a stabilizing trend in his stats over all and that his numbers will continue to catch up to the unusual amount of bad luck he was hitting into before that. Why are you so determined to already write him off as a failed addition? I will bet millions of dollars that for all of this guy's bitching about "luck" he's probably one of the first to start screaming about "clutch" in the stupidest possible ways.
  8. Just coming up shy scoring half of the team's points? I dunno, he inexplicably debates with Lakers fans on a daily basis, so expect some gems.
  9. No, you don't understand, Barney COULD get way better even though there's little reason to expect such a thing.
  10. Barney and Campana are regularly in the lineup, and can show what they can do whether they're hitting 1st or 8th. Your complaints are near-gibberish and pointless.
  11. I don't think it's goofy. It's not the strongest of arguments, but that's why it took me two pretty long winded posts to get to it. Rizzo's already a guy who's had a long, loopy swing exposed in one short ML stint. He's spent this season working on correcting that, but it's not goofy to think that once he hits the majors again, another weakness may be exposed. Well, sure, but you need them to be.
  12. WSR stealing my Fun Dip joke...he'll pay big.
  13. Hard to tell at this point. I guess the realistic hope is that he can at least hold it down and be serviceable/productive until Vitters puts it together or a better FA/trade option comes along.
  14. Plus I don't really want him up before June myself.
  15. Ah, gotcha; I thought you didn't want him up at all this year, or not until September. Still, you have to admit the whole "exposing his weaknesses" argument is pretty goofy.
  16. I'm giving him a chance; there's no way he's going to post something that stupid, even for him.
  17. neely, seriously, why do you think the Cubs signed Stewart? Who do you want starting instead of him?
  18. Stewart's May numbers are based off of 65 PA. But hey, 20, 65, it's the same thing, right? Also: he still seemingly can't figure out the difference between an AB and a PA. Also also: RBI!!! It's apparently Stewart's fault that he can't magically put runners on base ahead of him.
  19. I didn't say that. But they need to spend on impact players and sprinkle in some low risk high reward guys to supplement it not try to nickel and dime the team back to relevance. Soooooo trade Garza???? If they're going to spend, then extend Garza. If they plan to do a rebuild from the primarily from the farm, picking up Ian Stewarts and Chris Volstads along the way then you trade Garza for the right price. We could probably get 3 very good prospects. He's really all we have as far as valuable trade chips. Dempster will bring back something, but as a rent a player nothing close to what Garza would. Sooooooo 60 million dollar payroll Works on contingency? No, Money down.
  20. Getting him ML AB is pretty meaningful and important. And worrying about "exposing his weaknesses" or whatever is irrelevant regardless of whether it's your main point or not; his weaknesses are going to be exposed at some point, so ideally by coming up earlier he'd be able to go through the motions to adjust and develop earlier, too.
  21. Tim, seriously, is it some kind of hits tracker or something? Just end this.
  22. It means he's useful/serviceable and hopefully on the path to becoming better, which is why he was signed in the first place. Nobody is arguing here that he didn't suck; the point of signing him is that he's a buy low cost/risk player who still has a shot of being productive. The Cubs wanted him for this and because they don't have anyone on the verge of taking over at 3B. Again, this is like your stupid argument against DeJesus; what is your problem with Stewart being in the lineup? Who is he blocking? Who should be playing instead of him? I give up. This is absurd.
  23. Apparently, since that second reason is pretty ridiculous; it's not like they can somehow hide him forever, and it's not like he's some kind of secret stashed away in the minor leagues.
  24. You don't see any reason at all? None whatsoever?
  25. I didn't say that. But they need to spend on impact players and sprinkle in some low risk high reward guys to supplement it not try to nickel and dime the team back to relevance. Soooooo trade Garza???? SUCCESS.
