  2. It's the Prince basketball game all over again.
  3. Stupid feed wouldn't work for me, but hey, cool win!
  4. This game is the Kyle Schwarber Experience boiled down to its essence.
  5. Alright, so maybe I should talk more horsefeathers about this CarGo guy.
  6. I agree he's above average in that he hits a ton of dongs (I think he's on pace to hit 30 or so again this year), but it seems like he's really testing the bizarre limit of just how valuable a dude who basically ONLY has the plus of crushing dongs can be. Beyond that he seems to be Just a Dude, at best. If the Cubs' OF wasn't such a damn Dead Zone, you could pretty easily get away with burying him in the corner and enjoying those 30ish dongs a year, but, as it stands, each spot has just turned out to be its own glaring area of suck.
  7. It's been brought up here before, but he's the weird/unfortunate type of player who sees the ball really well, but is also too patient for his own good.
  8. Probably around 2 fWAR a season (more likely at or under), at best.
  9. An fWAR bolstered significantly by what increasingly is looking like an unsustainable level of defensive value, and now sandwiched by two seasons of butt. The dude has had 1500 PA at this point, and we're already more than a third of the way through this season; at what point does it go from, "Schwarber is still young/coming back from injury/adjusting to new position/whatever/etc." to, "maybe Kyle Schwarber just isn't that good?"
  10. To be fair, I think the "they should trade Willson Contreras" take is just one dude. And to be further fair, that's a very debatable assessment of Schwarber at this point.
  11. MY GOD A HIT WITH A RISP. MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE GLORY.
  12. yeah, the OF being a problem offensively for the last 2 1/2 years has been a fairly large concern. sure, they have a better lineup than the likes of the Marlins, Giants, insert bum team name here, etc. but amongst the contenders in baseball, the Cubs OF has to be considered one of the worst. shame on us for wanting a team with billions of dollars to put out better hitters in their lineup. Adam Jones was available for a cheap deal to start the season, but....PTR I keep telling myself that Michael Brantley HAD to go to a team with a DH option to help myself sleep at night.
  13. Man, beast mode Lester is in effect. Please stick around.
