    Yeah, I'm not faulting anyone for getting more enjoyment out of this, and I get I'm often pretty obnoxious. I'm just bummed I'm not more into this team. Too many things just feel...off in the organization. It really feels weirdly better for me to gripe about them being relatively cheap or player performances that annoy me as opposed to dwelling on what I feel is a deep ethical/political/philosophical rot that likely is just going to get worse before it gets better.

    Keeping it 100 (posts) to get to 4 pages. Real talk: the Cubs make me angry this year. Like, not just the usual stuff; it's built up because of the truly shitty things the owners, the FO and some of the players do/say/believe, and it's gotten to the point where I have a negative feeling towards this team I've loved basically my whole life at almost all times because it's run by and employing truly heinous people. So, yeah, part of it just willfully meatball-ish griping, but a lot of it is venting over something that I'm really having trouble justifying not just dropping altogether. Honestly, the thing that brings me the most enjoyment about this team at this point is [expletive] all over it, and that sucks.

    I'm gonna say I meant 2007. PROVE ME WRONG. I'M NOT DONE. That Baez HR pisses me off because I wanted him taken out of the game after the 6th since I'm assuming everything is going to catch up to him and one day he'll shatter like the frozen T-1000.

    It's like the whole legal legend about pornography: "I know it when I see it." I know there's a huge middle ground between the Cubs horsefeathers ass, "technically good" OF and a trio of world beaters out there. Plus, come on; chastising me for being a meatball (and I am) and then tossing out Harper (or Machado instead) in 2019 all, like, "welp, that's certainly this guy going forward, good thing the Cubs have the player equivalent of the generic brands from Repo Man instead," seems kinda iffy.

    I'm turning 40 in 2 days; I figure since death must be right around the corner it's time to throw caution to the wind. I want baseball Monstars, not the lamest custom players made by some nerd trying to be "realistic" with his Road to the Show guy.
