It always seems louder at the game than on TV Source: 30 games attended over the last decade. Part of it is the laughably bad Soldier Field design. The other part is the crowd often sucking. I've been to a dozen games in the same time and at east 4 of them were just creepily quiet to be at. Everyone seemed to be waiting for something to go wrong or leaving early.
We already had a decent "Detroit Sucks" chant and you're complaining They're ridiculously quiet and timid, and it's hardly Bears crowds that are known for that here.
4 guys = everybody? The point is that they could/should have been in a better position to improve in the short run if those guys had played closer/more consistently to what was expected/hoped from them. I'm not pointing that out as an excuse; I'm bemoaning the shitty situation the Cubs are in.
I didn't follow that at all; I just remember some scuttlebutt that some people thought it was just a ploy to get the Tigers to pay more. I'm probably imagining it.
No one expected us to be thisclose on Annibal or getting Jackson last year either. How were they "thisclose" to getting Sanchez? He didn't want to play on a terrible team.
