  1. Mmmmm, love that Unicorn.
  2. Who's ready for some sexy?
  3. But he looks so happy in those commercials.
  4. I don't know, I heard the whole "the media is against this" meme on the radio today, but I remember seeing a ton of pieces after the decision was announced that were in favor of putting Cutler in. I have no idea the exact ratio, but it sure didn't seem like it was all questioning the decision.
  5. It's ignoring the truth, which is that Josh McCown is actually just an avatar for Cutler.
  6. This guy says "boner personality" like it's a bad thing.
  7. A sulley divided against itself is not a pretty thing to watch.
  8. Looks more like a Larry the Cable Guy fan.
  9. Barney is already basically a platoon player, and he's one that generally doesn't hit against lefties, but you want to put him in that position because of 2013's sample size? And hey, you know what Barney didn't lead Valbuena in last year? Which was the 1.6 WAR player and which was was the -0.5 WAR player? Barney's insane value in 2012 was based mostly on his defense; his bat is not difficult to replace.
  10. Over his career Barney has 429 PA against lefties vs. 1370 against righties, yet you know want him to be the part of a platoon that hits against LH pitchers. A platoon with Valbuena: good idea. Barney being the other half of that platoon: hopefully there's a better option soon.
  11. Valbuena still managed to swing a 1 oWAR, while Barney was -1.7. There's not much reason to make room for Barney if there are other options.
  12. The backup generally has the advantage of not having film or having the defense prepped for him. Cutler wouldn't have that opportunity. The good news is that the Browns are probably too feeble to take advantage of it. In any case, the last time Cutler was sent into start coming back from injury he clearly wasn't healthy and was summarily executed by the Lions. That's worrisome enough. Well, yeah, nobody wants him out there if he's in that condition. Everyone wanting him out there clearly is doing so with the hopes that the Bears have learned their lesson from that debacle.
  13. I can understand people being concerned about Jay still being injured, but too rusty? Is he likely to be rustier than McCown was when he took over? Plus it's not like it's been a long offseason or something that he's coming back from.
  14. North, quick, tell me something positive about Castro.
  15. He's been a good backup QB, I'm glad the Bears have him, I'm impressed with the run he's had, but I want the starter back in there because I think the starter is better in the long run. Not really "minimizing" him all that much there. I'm not necessarily saying that you are, I just don't like to see the other stuff talking about him as some sort of game manager when what he did was nothing short of heroic. Well, it's just a bit hyperbolic to stack it up like that. The last game was great, and certain numbers he racked up are impressive, but the team still only went 2-2 and until the Dallas game had trouble scoring more than 20-21 points, due in no small part to how much he struggled in the red zone. Just as you're saying there are people underrating what he did there are far more people vastly overrating what he did.
  16. This guy is great.
  17. Man, I love it when neely gets a crush on a player. Nobody is arguing against Lake getting playing time next year; this tangent was just someone clarifying why he thinks Lake's potential is overstated by some.
  18. If having a buddy around bring Pat out of his funk then this Coomer goon can be as terrible as he wants to be.
  19. Yes, they were good games.

  21. Stroganoff is godly, you monster.
  22. Where did I say to ignore them? I'm saying to pay attention to them as what they are...really great numbers against a really bad defense. Until then McCown struggled to get much done in the red zone, and this one game means he and the coaches have suddenly figured it out instead of what it was, which was a terrible defense letting guys get open? Do you preferred to be served in a hero or on a plate with pasta? In a delicious cream sauce over egg noodles.
  23. if you were ever so inclinced, a brief primer on this sort of stuff would probably be hugely appreciated by many on this board. Yes, please.
