  1. Oh man, Schwarber is my new favorite. Ditch this catching [expletive] ASAP.
  2. I did think CJ Edwards was some doofy white kid until this year. And as I said the other day, I thought Jeff Baez was some kind of nickname for Javier until about a week ago. That Doolittle guy looks like a big fat party animal, so he's a good egg.
  3. I'm pretty sure this is the first non-Cubs game I've watched in a good two months.
  4. I agree. If he can hack it enough to be considered merely average as a defensive backstop, but has the hitting prowess of Joey Votto (who he models his approach after) then by all means they should see if he can stick. but given what the Cubs are already doing with him I can't imagine he'd be a strong option at catcher defensively. Still, I agree it would be nice if he can stick there, I just don't think it will happen. Hope I'm proven wrong, though. Yeah, it seems like it's a long shot, but I wonder how much of it is based on the conclusion he can't hack it as a catcher vs. the possibility of needing his bat ASAP.
  5. Though it would be nice if Bryant and Baez show up and be what we desperately hope/need them to be; it would potentially give the Cubs the luxury of spending the extra time with Schwarber to see if he can stick at catcher.
  6. Stupid worthless evening Saturday games.
  7. UPGRADE: http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121002235145/batmantheanimatedseries/images/2/25/The_Clock_King.png
  8. If Baez can seemingly flip the switch as he's done before then I am going to be out of my mind for 2015.
  9. Castro over the last month: .323 .369 .583 .952 Rizzo over the last month: .310 .408 .607 1.015 That's good soup.
  10. I don't get it. Why are they locking the players inside of places? That seems irresponsible.
  11. Me either, although I can't help but think how awesome it would be next year to see Baez, Bryant, and Alcantara all come up together in a symbolic transition to the next phase of the plan. Getting better ASAP is much more awesome.
  12. I think I was just molested by this picture:
  13. i did that once in high school, except with a perfectly placed line drive. it was scary. http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/4/48605/2450820-lyingcat.jpg
  14. We got the only one that had glowing reports and he's a broken toy. Meanwhile Puig, Cespedes and Abreu and their question marks are out their manhandling everyone withing sight. Sign this guy or else I will go on a rampage.
  15. Jake is a more beloved Cubs fan than Kyle is.
  16. Jake rules; I'm sorry your team also sucks.
  17. I don't even own a slash line.
  18. His home runs were all actually mirages.
  19. Yes, that's what people are bemoaning.
  20. http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff480/SeattleIsFullOpodPpl/Film%20Scene%20GiFs/MaxCadyLaughinginCapeFearGiF.gif
  21. Yeah, now he takes pity on them as one would an old dying dog.
