  1. I'm not going to argue with you guys, but I do know some facts. It's on record that Paterno made a report to his superior and the school VP and backed out of the process. That's what the NCAA just released a few weeks ago as the proper course of action. I am not defending Joe Paterno here as much as I am saying I just refuse to be surprised when they give him his wins back, because the NCAA is run by clowns. These "facts" are from a huge grey area, especially when we're talking about Paterno having "superiors" at Penn State. It's subjective, but I find it laughable to think he couldn't have done basically anything he wanted. I think that report was an ass-covering ([expletive] anyone for thinking pun) gesture. I agree, the NCAA is a corrupt, incompetent collection of babboons, but this is basically excusing everyone involved like Paterno was actually beholden to anyone at Penn State and like Penn State was only beholden to the NCAA with this issue.
  2. Can't believe he laid off some of those pitches. Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised. Then he had the crafty steal of 3B and Soler knocks him in with a sac fly to CF. Hooray!
  3. you don't want the NCAA involved in punishing member organizations that systematically enable sexual abuse? Not until due process has ran its course, no. Why? And especially why the [expletive] not in this case?
  4. Baez came back from 0-2 to 3-2 and then smacked a double down the LF line.
  5. Are you [expletive] serious? Do you believe that? You think the police/local prosecution's deciisons to drop all charges and not prosecute Ray Rice is being explored pari passu with the criticism of the NFL? You dont actually believe that. You have decided to refute that and say its not being overlooked for whatever stupid reason you might have. The words "police investigation" may have been mentioned in an article that's absolute subject is whether or not the NFL saw the tape or whether or not Goodell should step down. Yes, I do believe that the police investigation has been mentioned in basically every major article about this. The rest is you ranting about made-up things I never said. Rice was sentenced to an ongoing punishment/rehabilitation; I agree it's a relative slap on the wrist, but even otherwise what do you expect him to be sentenced to? He has no criminal record and as horrific as the punch was it's not like he'd be locked up for a serious amount of time; it could have been prosecuted as a third degree assault, which usually at best holds up around a year of jail, a fine of a few grand and typically several years of probation. When it's someone's first criminal offense it's usually reduced and people get off with just the fine and/or community service. Like it or not, he was prosecuted and can still [expletive] up and end up punished worse for it by the law. The NFL was treating it like 2 games out was more than enough and everyone should go about their business.

  7. It's not overlooked; the police investigation has been mentioned in basically every major article about this.
  8. The NCAA punishing the school for basically allowing Sandusky to use it as his personal evil sex trap isn't "meddling in legal matters;" the criminal investigation and prosecution has nothing to do with that. Though I'll agree with you saying that you think Paterno did what the NCAA wanted him to do if what they wanted him to do was ignore what was going on and hope nobody talks or finds out.
  9. Multiple people, but mostly Gomes.
  10. No, they can be equally awful.
  11. It's not an either/or condemnation; the NFL has laid out much more harsh penalties for lesser offenses or for things that aren't even technically illegal. Regardless of what local authorities did or did not do, basic morality dictated that the NFL should have kicked Rice out ASAP.
  12. I honestly thought he killed himself.
  13. You guys do realize the NCAA released their proper protocol for handling sexual assault accusations in athletic departments and Joe Paterno basically did exactly what they wanted him to do, right? So after that was released, this really shouldn't be a big surprise. Don't be shocked when they award the wins back to PSU, too. You can be irate at the University admins ultimately responsible who face their day at trial and still realize that punishing college students, alumni and fans for a legal issue is completely moronic at the same time, believe me. But please, feel free to continue making/laughing at child molestation jokes, thats definitely not a weird thing to do. Damn. You were so promising.
  14. Never had the ponytail but definitely had different versions of the undercut throughout my youth. Poor, poor choices.
  15. Holy [expletive], that happened? I watched HI like crazy as a kid but I guess I checked out when JTT bailed or something because I do not remember that at all.
  16. I stopped in a Bungalow Billiards on my way back from vacation to catch the start of the Bears game and their nachos were shamefully bad. Basically just a huge plate of Taco Bell-level food. If you order your nachos and they are brought to you in about two minutes then you are getting shitty nachos.
  17. Anti-women garbage. They're the same types that will say [expletive] like, "I'm against hitting women, but if you want equal rights then it's only fair I can defend myself if a woman hits me."
  18. Even if she is a "golddigger," so what? Moron men's rights-types keep dropping that like it somehow justifies or excuses her being hit. I don't care if she has a shirt that says "I am only after Ray Rice's money."
  19. I can't stop laughing at this: http://cdn3.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/675376/powe.0.gif
  20. What, every time he talked to the guy behind the fence and then repeated the advice he got incorrectly was fresh and unique and a brilliant commentary on our society.
  21. The selection of Home Improvement gifs is pretty terrible. So, I dunno, use more power or something.
