I think the best the Brewers can hope for is to go 5-2 the rest of the way. The Padres are fighting for their postseason berth and I see no less than a split. I think the most likely scenarios is that the Cards even steal one giving them a 4-3 finish. Either way that leaves it up to the Cubs to win 1 or 2 games. I feel very comfortable with that. In fact if the Brewers lose tonight they'll be 4 games back with 6 to play. They're good but not that good.
Why would ARod choose Chicago over New York? 1. Can return to SS 2. Gets to play for Lou once again 3. Will play for a contender 4. Gets to trade NY fans for Chicago fans 5. Will still get paid nicely I think the guy has legitimate reasons to come play for the Cubs. Believe it or not money may not be the most important thing in this guys life right now. I think if I've made boat loads of cash and am currently in a situation that is less than fun for me I'm looking for something better even if it does involve less money.
I think it really explains a lot about why Cubs fans still hold him in such high regard. Anything that the've done good in the past decade has involved Wood. You could say that about a lot of guys. OK, who on the current roster can you say that about? Not just a few years ago but over the course of the entire ten years.
Division - hat, sweatshirt (it's fun to wear the gear while you're watching the games) pennant Pennant - pennant WS - pennant, I'm sure other stuff as well
I think that's the magic number, right there. Just win every series. I think that's the lock scenario. I think 5-4 would still get them in. However the way these two teams go it'll probably end with a one game playoff after they have gone 4-5 and 6-5.
The thing with the loss column is that if two teams are tied in that regard then one team can prevent themselves from being eliminated if they just win their games. If they trail in the loss cloumn then they have to hope for the other team to lose as well as winning their own games.
Hank, i'd assume. I might lean towards Kendall getting the axe. Runs are a premium in the post season and having Kendall behind the pate is just begging the other team to put runners in scorig posiion all day long.
