  1. HOLY CRAP what a great finish to both games. Avery with a goal and an assist, Shanny with the game-winner, Lundqvist stood on his head, and of course tons of intensity on both sides. Kovalchuk scored his first playoff goal of his career and hammered Avery late in the game to really set the series off. Rangers lead 2-0, though. Penguins played a great third period and hung on late on a great, great save by Fleury to keep the Sens at bay. That series is tied at 1 going back to Pittsburgh.
  2. The ATL/NYR series is seriously intense. Still 1-0 on the fluky Avery goal. Go Rangers! Ottawa scored twice and pretty much throttled the Penguins when they weren't scoring. Alfreddson and Spezza with the goals. 2-1 Senators.
  3. Rangers/Thrashers has been a surprisingly fun series to watch so far. Avery scored a fluky goal to make it 1-0 Rangers. Pens/Sens is in its first intermission as well, Whitney scored for the Penguins, it's 1-0 there. Lightning/Devils and Sabres/Islanders later today.
  4. he was at 85 at some point in this AB I think.
  5. i'm wondering if the ducks are going to go back to giguere or not. I got a chance to watch a lot of their games this year, and they always looked better with bryzgalov than giguere. giguere would make rolston's slapshot better with his fat rebounds that he gives up, too.
  6. well, i didn't realize this. this makes my decision for what I'm watching at noon easier. Go Senators!
  7. at least a game a day has been streaming live on the internet so far. what kind of connection do you have? Ducks hold on to win 3-2 and take a 2-0 series lead.
  8. Ducks score twice late in the period to make it 3-1 going into the third... Getzlaf is so good.
  9. 3 scraps broke out at the end of the sharks/preds game, rest of the series should have quite a bit of intensity. ducks/wild is underway. back to the tv!
  10. SJ/Nashville is still very, very chippy. 4-1 Nashville though. San Jose has to fix that. Vancouver/Dallas was a little slow in the first, but it's in glorious high definition, so I'm not complaining... Anaheim/Minnesota starts in 40 minutes or so.
  11. Great, great start to Nashville/San Jose, though the wrong team is on top as far as I'm concerned. Vancouver/Dallas is starting in 10 minutes or so.
  12. sharks game is about to start should be pretty heated after hartnell kneed cheechoo in the last game
  13. Dal/Van game 2 is the feature game on VS if you get it. Min/Ana and SJ/Nas have their second games today as well. Sharks/Predators is on Yahoo and Comcast Hockeylive if you want to watch it on your computer.
  14. he looked shaky early too. he went nuts (with some help from the posts) in overtime though. Surprisingly good atmosphere in the NYR/ATL game in ATL. I figured that would be boring solely because of the crowd, but it was a good game and the crowd really got into it. TB hung with NJ a little longer than I thought. Parise is a stud though. Detroit and Calgary went just about as I expected...little more chippiness than I would have guessed, but that's always acceptable anyways. Only complaint about the games so far is that there have been too many marginal penalties called, but I can live with that as long as the intensity is there. Great hockey so far.
  15. versus does suck. i'm not even getting the games in high def. if you don't have versus/don't want to watch the game they're showing and don't have center ice, you can watch Buffalo/New York here: http://www.comcast.net/sports/nhl/hockeylive/ it should work regardless of whether you have comcast or not.
  16. HENRIK SEDIN SCORES OMG what a great game
  17. 4th OT in Vancouver/Dallas now.
  18. i agree w/ this, except that soriano HAS shown changes in production when he's moved up and down the order. I would normally say bat him 5th, but his production is vastly superior from the leadoff spot than it is from other places with roughly a season's worth of PAs.
  19. What position will Marquis be playing tomorrow? Looks like the Cubs could use his bat against magic Wandy. maybe he'll be the first bat off the bench instead of theriot...
  20. i would go with kendrick personally, but you obviously can't really go wrong with any of them.
  21. Didn't Sampson carry a no-hitter into the 7th against the Cubs last year?
  22. 5 IP 5 ER 6 H 4 BB 2 K 1 HBP
  23. i like his swing and am impressed with him so far.
