  1. Yeah, but its about time Oswalt got injured.... Alot of experts thought he would, but that was because he had thrown 200 plus innings per year for some time now! that's pretty ridiculous. Maddux has been due for an injury since 1987 (I'm counting 2002, a season in which he through 199.1 innings).
  2. He was getting hit pretty hard. he really didn't show he had much control or velocity or much of anything. His curveball wasn't breaking, his fastball was flat, just didn't look very good at all.
  3. Well, the next two games are on WGN. Isn't tomorrow's game on ESPN? It's on both. SO ATTN: EVERYBODY WATCH ESPN OR WE LOSE OKAY? i think steve stone is doing the game, so there's your incentive to watch. So does that mean the game is going to be blacked out on ESPN? They often do that with Giants games out here if it's supposed to be televised on ESPN and FSN. I don't think so since WGN is national. It *might* be blacked-out in Chicago, but I doubt it. I don't get blacked out from Cubs games unless they're on INHD :(
  4. Chris Sampson Who the hell is that? The pitcher the Astros are sending out tomorrow.

  6. Len said April 23rd was the last time the Cubs won on WGN.
  7. Barrett's started a bunch of games recently, he probably needed the day off. Can't say I'm a big fan of Cedeno batting 2nd. I'd definitely prefer Murton or Walker there--oh well, it IS Dusty...
  8. They did jump into the Cubs/Stros game last night when Z was pitching in the 8th. I must admit that I was impressed with that.
  9. OILERS OILERS OILERS!
  10. Isn't that when he lost the no-no against AZ a few years back?
  11. Looked like he was missing pretty bad in the 8th, which is all that I saw. Oh well, we win, Z! won't be overworked, good game all around.
  12. i haven't been this animated just sitting in front of my computer in quite some time--ever.
  13. Heh, the ticker on gameday said "Bochy praises Young for recent outings." Sort of fitting.
  14. that's not true. I don't think he'll be pulled this late in the game with a no-hit bid.
  15. and if he does give up a hit, he should be pulled immediately. but it's a nice thing to have to worry about. definitely
  16. not too bad of a pitch count. If he stays somewhat economical with the rest of the night he could have 125 or less assuming he keeps the no-no in tact.
  17. the mlb.com jinx is now in effect. let's see if Z! can escape it.
