    The 2007 Cubs are better than the 2006 Cardinals by a fairly wide margin. However, whether that will translate into getting anywhere in the playoffs is another story.

    Notre Dame will score 4 touchdowns on Saturday...unfortunately at least 2 of them will be against reserves

    I hate this - I'm having a friend visit this weekend and he can't be here until 8ish, killing my hopes of going to the game tomorrow. On top of that, the game being moved to Fox for Saturday kills me going to that and my radio show kills Sunday. So in the event we clinch this weekend I won't be able to catch it.

    I don't know that I'd put much, if any, blame on the coaches for this. Jones just seems to have issues. He's recruited by Charlie Weis, who everybody knows won't run an option-type offense (which is what Jones would excel in). So he gets mad when a very good prototypical (best for Weis' system) beats him out and leaves without telling anyone to go to NIU. Now, for no real good reason, he's leaving NIU about two weeks later to go to Cincinnatti. Kid needs to make up his mind and stick to a decision. From what I know, I don't blame the coaches. Kid would've broken every single-game yardage record on the books against Ball State's defense, so I shed no tears here.
