  1. Reminds you? That's what he's doing. Lee is king of the world - the rest of the planet just doesn't know it yet.
  2. Soriano probably catches that. Or a normal non-super-windy day may result in a DeRosa catch.
  3. The wind doesn't ever seem to do help us, only hurt us. And BTW, smart baseball by Lee and everything, but why don't we do this when the wind, um, isn't howling out at 20 mph? It's like we try to be dumb - we hit fly balls like crazy when the wind's blowing in, but as soon as it blows out we start playing smartball.
  4. In your shoes I'd be buying tickets. Every time. But that's why I'd flunk out of college in Chicago.
  5. Based on Joe Torre's apparent opinion of him, LA would probably accept me for Juan Pierre.
  6. There are so many ironies in this statement.
  7. I am not really looking forward to Michigan this season. i am. Me too. 85-21 the last two years. I want a piece of those guys. Probably still not going to win. Entering 2007 I would have said we probably wouldn't lose 38-0 and rush for negative 100 and whatever yards, either, so I'll take my chances.

  9. It's all good though because Tim Buckley is replacing him as the resident former BSU coach that is now an assistant at IU.
  10. i'm not so sure... 2004: 687 PA, 168 K (K in 24.5% of PA) 2005: 481 PA, 118 K (K in 24.5% of PA) 2006: 498 PA, 94 K (K in 18.9% of PA) 2007: 503 PA, 65 K (K in 12.9% of PA) Holy crap, 168. That's absolutely insane.
  11. I will not be picking any of those options. I'll remember him as the manager who stupidly gave about 7 bench guys from 2004 starting jobs the following year, whined about not having any losing seasons until 2005 towards the end of that season, and never took the blame for any of the incredibly depressing losses in 2006.
  12. Put Dusty Baker's Reds in the http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/ndistops/Dumpster.jpg
  13. Funny as well as being more descriptive. I approve.
  14. Panthers eagerly snap up Rashard Mendenhall, giving them a big back to complement DeAngelo Williams. Word is we're actually talking with Mendenhall quite a bit so I really hope they take him in the real draft too.
  15. LaTroy's reception was nothing compared to what will happen to Dusty. I imagine Corey won't be welcomed with open arms either.
  16. It's April 13th, but I feel comfortable saying this will be our luckiest win of 2008. Glad to get out of there with a 4-2 road trip. Now it's time to kick Dusty's rear this week.
  17. Roided Up Former Pitcher: 4 Carlos Pena is raking, while we're on the subject of HR tracker...6 already.
  18. Yeah, there is no more Braves-only coverage on TBS, they busted out the Sunday national games this year, plus they get the ALCS. I will be missing most of this one due to P.A. duties for baseball anyway, so don't suck too bad, Marquis. I would post my customary how the hell are we thing but we're falling further behind so it may not be working.
  19. To be fair, we've done it too. Lee alone has taken about 3 strike threes that were called balls.
  20. Over to the hockey game. It's been fun.
  21. your so funny but he would have made that play I swear to God, I do not understand the love for Cedeno. I have no love for Cedeno. But he'd have made that play.
  22. Theriot and Cedeno really need to switch places in the infield.
