  1. Yesterday I hated that lineup. Today, no changes except Murton for Fukudome and I now love the lineup - and Murton really isn't a big part of it. Weird. Murton in LF and DeRo in RF, by the way.
  2. There's almost no way Arizona doesn't win the pennant if you ask me - and I was saying that before the season too. I just hope we manage to duck them if we make it to the playoffs.
  3. Wonderful, the return of umpire Boyd. This should be fun...
  4. A couple of intriguing options here with Carolina's pick. Jeff King played tight end last season and didn't show the ability to be the long-term solution at the position. Carolina has the opportunity to draft a receiving TE here that ripped up the combine and has all the ability necessary to fill that spot. Therefore the Panthers take Dustin Keller from Purdue.
  5. really? you think "Fuku-single" is appalling? how is it any different than Arambomb or Sotowned? I was about to post the same thing. It's a name pun like any other silly name pun we throw around on here.
  6. They are rather entertaining, that's for sure. I expect nothing less this year.
  7. I'd prefer Mark Jackson for the Bulls (although he's probably headed to NY). Avery would be intriguing, though.
  8. As someone pointed out in today's game thread, Lou said he was going with the same lineup tomorrow. So as much sense as it may make to get Murton in or get Theriot/Cedeno out, it ain't happening.
  9. Good lord, he's going senile.

  11. Great move by Nash/D'Antoni to get a quick shot off before they could be fouled. Unfortunately for them, Manu topped it. Great great game.
  12. Even Neifi and Macias had good days in the lineup. That did not justify continuing to trot them out in the starting lineup on a daily basis. Everyone in the Cubs' starting lineup today is having a substantially better season than Neifi and Macias ever did, except for Aramis, who we all know is better than he's played, and Theriot, who would probably be in there anyway. I want Murton in the starting lineup too, but the way Ronny's hitting I'm fine with him in there and DeRosa in LF.
  13. Half-game out now. Let's take the brooms in tomorrow!
  14. Wouldn't it be nice to have an argument about which of our two <.800 OPS shortstops should play on a regular basis? I hope you mean >.800 OPS.
  15. Riot has reached three times today. He's really putting together some good AB's.
  16. Nice outing from Marquis today. Let's have Marshall, Hart and Howry take it home.
  17. Wasn't his name something similar to that? Yeah, James Hoye. Someone - I think TT - made a hilarious post about how he didn't deserve to be called by his real name so we stuck with Boyd. that wasn't the game where cedeno overslid second base on a WALK was it? No, it was the one where an Astro hit the GW home run on strike 5.
  18. No problem with the move. Give Lee some rest.
  19. Wasn't his name something similar to that? Yeah, James Hoye. Someone - I think TT - made a hilarious post about how he didn't deserve to be called by his real name so we stuck with Boyd.
  20. For whatever it's worth, the ump that made that call is the one we dubbed "Boyd" after he helped the Astros beat us in our home opener last year against Houston.
  21. If we stay up 7-0 he can get all the hits he wants.
  22. Gorzelanny has now given up 14 earned runs in 5 innings against the Cubs this year.
