  1. Good frickin decision, Reed, you moron. Felix please.
  2. Lilly's a first-pitch fastball away from a dominating perfect showing so far.
  3. Look at that. No fastballs to Soriano and an easy out. I wonder if there's anyone on Arizona that might apply to.
  4. Out of curiosity, I looked up Ludwick's minor league stats. His career high OPS for a long time was .930, set in 2002 with the AAA Rangers affiliate. At age 28/29, he suddenly OPS'd 1.022 for the Cardinals' AAA affiliate, and is now OPS'ing 1.125 and turns 30 in July.
  5. Generic Cardinals' White Minor League Outfielder X can hit all the homers he wants if they lose some more.
  6. More evidence in favor of Halloween http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v155/230/81/20707266/n20707266_34837753_7309.jpg
  7. Slight correction - this game is tomorrow, the 9th. I thoroughly endorse a Southpaw spot start - he led the 7-game win streak last year. Maybe he can counteract the Haren mojo.
  8. Damn it. I'd have been perfectly happy with Avery as coach before these D'Antoni rumors surfaced. Now if we don't get him I'll be very disappointed.
  9. Thank you, Jason Isringhausen, Ryan Spilborghs and Chris Iannetta.
  10. nice Whoever the backup 1B is would immediately put up better numbers anyway.
  11. Interesting debate. I went with Halloween. Free drinks, costumes and even more likely than the other days to have morally questionable girls wearing little. It's a good combination. Mine was three days before so I had some luck there.
  12. It really doesn't matter what the Cubs do if STL simply wins every game they play.
  13. I'm thinking Theriot should play 2B and Cedeno SS until one of them cools off, then find a spot for DeRosa.
  14. I'm not worried about the Brewers anymore, really. They're Gallardo-less and honestly really don't appear to be as good as we thought they would be. STL on the other hand will continue to be invincible sending out Wainwright against another winless Rockies starter (Francis).
  15. I feel bad for Mulder. For the Cardinals it's probably better if he doesn't come back as the pixie dust never seemed to help him like it helps most of their other pitchers.
  16. Personally, I already had heard that HGH doesn't help much, and don't really care about that. But I sure as hell hate Rick Ankiel and all the other absurd examples of things that just don't happen to franchises that aren't the Cardinals.
  17. No. FJM posted a broadcast he did where he was apparently surprised that, on average, more runs scored in an inning resulting from a leadoff walk than a leadoff HR. He claimed this was "unconventional wisdom" I think it was the other way around. He had the whole 'revolving door' idea in his head regarding people getting on base and was surprised to hear that a leadoff homer led to more runs.
  18. Supposedly Soto only has a .450ish OBP but it's hard to remember the times he got outs when he's playing like this.
  19. Soto is God jokes aside, why is it that Fukudome has struggled so much after 'advance scouting' is done on him but Soto continues to rake?
  20. Theriot was probably taken out because he hasn't had hardly any days off and Lou figured he'd give him one. It makes no difference to me.
  21. No way dude, Ankiel is elite. Pie merely hopes he can one day have as good an arm as the great Ankiel.
  22. Marshall starts his outing off wonderfully as Bill Selby jacks one out
  23. Alex Ochoa and Deion Sanders go back to back
