  1. I was looking forward to my snarky comment about Derek Anderson but he put together two drives at the end to run his numbers to 8/16 for 130 yards, one yard coming on a TD pass.

  3. Good ol' Browns. James Harrison fumbles, Cincy takes it back for a TD to go up 14-0.
  4. I wasn't saying they deserve to be there (though they have fewer votes than BC, which is patently ridiculous). It was just an observation.

They lose on a TD pass with 12 seconds left in the game, drop out of the poll, and now have 9 votes. If that doesn't happen, they're probably sniffing the top 10 if only by sheer attrition. I don't see the huge difference between ND as a team whether they win or lose that UM game, but apparently it makes about 20 ranking spots worth of difference.
  6. Jimmy Clausen is just plain phenomenal. That kid can bail us out of just about anything.
  7. If ND had even a remotely passable D, we'd be 5-0 instead of going to OT and possibly going to 3-2. How can't you keep that drive from happening?
  8. I'll call it even.
  9. No he didn't.
  10. Jimmy is the balls. Defense, HOLD FOR A MINUTE TWENTY PLEASE.
  11. 4 straight weeks Jimmy's been in a TD-or-die situation. The first three times he got us to a TD. Praying for a 4th.
  12. Unbelievable defense out of Notre Dame.
  13. was it on a field goal? Yes, and replay showed absolutely nothing. A totally made-up call.
  14. 2nd roughing the center call I've seen in my life called against ND. Zero I've seen called on anyone else in my life.
  15. This season ended when Michael Floyd's collarbone broke.
  16. Tate looked like he was interfered with on 3rd down. Of course, there wouldn't be any 3rd down if Parris catches the pass that's perfectly thrown instead of [expletive] letting it go right through and hit him in the face.
  17. Why don't those QBs take a half-step back before running a sneak? Thank God our defense awoke for a couple of plays.
  18. It'd be great if Clausen could stay on his [expletive] feet on 3rd down pass plays.
  19. Notre Dame has the worst defense in the history of college football.
  20. I can't wait until ND gets a last minute score to beat a mediocre team, then get bombarded with hype and pass over Missouri into the top 25 in the AP poll. Amazing that this complaint keeps coming up when we keep losing votes.
  21. Scott Martin, who transferred to ND from Purdue, is done for the year with an ACL tear. I was looking forward to seeing him play, but an already-thin ND team just got thinner.
  22. I'd think after they tried to go after Greg freaking Maddux in 2006 that any future TLR/Duncan complaint about cheating pitchers would officially be ignored by everyone.
  23. I'm a bit surprised IU didn't receive any votes in either poll. I didn't expect them to be ranked, but with their only loss being a close road loss against a ranked team I thought they'd at least get noticed. You're surprised that a team that everyone thought would be awful isn't ranked because they barely beat EMU, WMU, and beat Akron? IU wouldn't have been ranked even if they'd beaten Michigan. They'd have been close, but you don't just jump from edging out horrible MAC teams to ranked in 1 week unless you do something like beat a top 10 team or clobber somebody pretty good.
  24. No accusations of cheating today either, so far as I know.
