  1. More nationally broadcast spring games - all these new additions will be on (what will on Sunday change from ESPN 360 to) ESPN3. Georgia - April 10th, 2 pm Clemson - April 10th, 4 pm Ole Miss - April 17th, 2 pm Arkansas - April 24th, 7 pm
  2. It is to the Brewers. :) Seriously though, Cubs/Brewers will be a rivalry when Brewers fans are somewhere near as common at Wrigley during a series as Cards fans are. Right now, only one team's fans are really ever in the other team's park. (In fairness, my last Cubs/Brewers game was 2006, and they may be more prevalent then I realize.)
  3. Joining the ACC has nuked BC hoops. No one in the Northeast wants to go to BC, they want to play in the Big East. And no one in ACC country wants to play at BC, they want to play in ACC country (the South).
  4. Thank God that charade is over.
  5. Panthers take Pat Angerer, LB, Iowa. Replaces Na'il Diggs as a Thomas Davis backup.
  6. I think WVU is the best team left and voted for them, but I could see any of the 4 teams winning it. If I had to pick a team that I didn't think could win it, it would probably be MSU.
  7. Word. Yeah, I fully endorse that post as well. There was a point in late August I believe where Edmonds's Cubs slugging percentage would've led all of baseball if it had been eligible by itself. That's nuts.
  8. I don't know that a lot would change with a new one. Bradford would probably go with the first pick and that would change a couple of other first round picks, but I haven't seen a lot of players' stock change from 4 weeks ago to now – not drastically, at least. Maybe we should start later next year, though. The Bengals would probably be less likely to take Tate since they signed a WR in free agency.
  9. He denied that but I hope it happened. I'm Catholic and have no problem with his having fervent faith (it's great, actually), but shoving it down other people's throats is getting annoying. I agree, but I find it also as offensive that someone would tell Tebow to "STFU" when he's trying to lead a prayer. If you don't want to participate, so "no thank you" and move on. No need to be offensive to someone who is religious. There's no way that story is true. I dislike the guy as much as the next person, but I don't even think he's that big of a nut to lead a prayer before a test. He did a pro life ad for the super bowl, why would he consider leading a prayer too nutty? The only reason anyone even knew that was a pro-life ad is because of the pre-game hubbub. As far as I could tell it was a pro-violence against women ad because he tackled his mom. /sarcasm
  10. I'm fairly willing to bet that every single black person who has ever played for the Cubs - for that matter, for any sports team in history - has gotten racist mail from some people. It's the unfortunate reality of the world. Except for whiny Cubs right fielders (Bradley and Jones), funnily enough, no one has made an issue of it.
  11. Making the playoffs through this crapfest of a year might actually qualify as an accomplishment.
  12. I actually don't mind Duke all things being equal, but this 2nd half was a load of crap as far as reffing was concerned.
  13. Scheyer and Acy both with needless elbows. Guess which one gets the T? (Hint: The guy that doesn't play for Duke gets the T)
  14. Game would've been all but over with Zoubek out, and he should've been. Horrible call.
  15. If anything bad ratings would make the NCAA less likely to opt out of an already lucrative deal.
  16. There's no reason to continually hunt down Bradley for stories. Most of the Chicago media (Sullivan and Kaplan for instance) are being a bunch of petty whiners about him. Obsessing over Bradley isn't going to change anything.
  17. It's complete bitterness on my part, but I don't want to see a BSU transfer who wasn't really any good when he was here (Melvin Goins) in the Final Four. Couple that with Izzo and I'm definitely rooting for the Spartans here.
  18. McCaffery seems like a pretty slam-dunk hire for Iowa. I've had my eye on him to be Mike Brey's successor for a while now. He'll be good there.
  19. He denied that but I hope it happened. I'm Catholic and have no problem with his having fervent faith (it's great, actually), but shoving it down other people's throats is getting annoying.
  20. KSU's loss made my max high finish 4th in a 3-guys-get-paid pool. Oh well. SportsCenter just said Truck Bryant is going to play in the Final Four on his broken foot. That's insane.
  21. I think WVU is the best team left, but I also think Baylor matches up fantastically with them. If Baylor beats Duke I think that's a fascinating national semifinal.
  22. Pretty much a rap. At least I got one Final Four team right.
  23. West Virginia is good.
  24. It's a good thing Sulley isn't rooting for Kentucky right now. Can only imagine the level of 'chucker' posts we'd have gotten by now.
  25. 17:10 in and WVU finally puts the ball through the net without it being a 3 (Butler's and-1).
