  1. That's what I like to see after a multi-run inning. I didn't even have time to post that I was worried about Dempster after hanging out on the basepaths for much of the 5th before he got 'em 1-2-3.
  2. Early candidate for luckiest inning of the year. Come on Riot, find a gap.
  3. Great inning so far. Hopefully Dempster can hit a fly ball.
  4. Seems like we are constantly down 0-2. Jurrjens is plugging the strike zone.
  5. In other words you keep going, "OHHH!" before realizing it has no chance? I only have the audio, so no.
  6. GREAT sequence by Dempster. Let's get some runs!
  7. I would ask "How long till we play the Pirates?" but Garrett Jones could probably beat us by himself right now.
  8. If Jason Heyward doesn't turn out to be a [expletive] stud I'm going to be annoyed with this performance.
  9. Forgot to post it pregame but...put the Braves in the http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/ndistops/Dumpster.jpg
  10. Soriano with by far the best AB on the team so far. How about that?
  11. The record itself is not nearly as disconcerting as the fact that the Cubs failed to homer in over 1/3 of their games.
  12. The Kentucky quintet are all gone according to Kentucky Sports Radio's Twitter feed.
  13. Wittenmeyer is Tweeting that Z is starting again. I'm not kidding.
  14. It might be worse to go to the playoffs and get obliterated by LeBron & Co. than to just not go. This wouldn't be the aging Celitics without their big man. It would be the actual favorite in the East, with the best player in the world playing at the peak of his prowress. A massacre. Better to play 4 playoff games against a great team than sit at home, especially when we have to switch draft picks with a team that did make the playoffs anyway.
  15. The Bulls move into a tie for 8th if they beat Milwaukee and the Cavs beat Toronto. It looks pretty good right now.
  16. You expect him to make a post force out of that oaf Zoubek? My guess is he'd find some room for a big-time post player in his system if he managed to recruit one.
  17. Speaking as someone who roots for probably the 2nd-most hated sporting entity in America, it just doesn't lead to anything positive to play the "why, oh God why?" game with people who hate your team. Asking why and pointing out that your guys do things the 'right way' and all that jazz won't change anybody's mind. I like Duke, certainly more than UNC, but especially on a day when they were playing a popular mid-major for a title, it seems silly to complain about people rooting against them (and this was more about Dickie V's complaints than Duke's fanbase proper).
  18. Jesus. Duke's been champion for all of an hour and Dickie V is already whining about people rooting against them. I don't even dislike Duke, but all this "why do you hate us???" crap gets old real freaking quick.
  19. How'd I guess you would post that. It didn't matter who sang it you weren't going to like it because you love the One Shining Moment so much. I prefer the original because I don't see a point in changing it and it is what I am used to but Jennifer Hudson can really sing. I can tell she can sing. She doesn't need to emphasize it by practically screaming some of the words.
  20. Jordan Crawford and Jimmer Fredette were bigger snubs IMO. How Crawford's 40-footer isn't in there is a little confusing.
  21. OK, Jennifer Hudson's version of that song is completely atrocious.
  22. That would have been the greatest ending in the history of any of the major sports, period. Man, you talk about almosts. Hayward will be replaying that for the rest of his life. He couldn't have done any better for a shot in 3.6 seconds.
  23. God, that was SO close. It would've been the standard by which all championship events would've been measured. As it is, it wasn't far off. Man, Butler can't get enough kudos.
