    I disagree. There is still value in day baseball, played under the sun, value that contributes to the brand of the Cubs. They have some sort of sentimental that can't be quantified, but more night games have real, positive, quantifiable value on the bottom line. If the difference between 35 and 46 night games in our TV deal is the difference between the Cubs having and not having enough money to spend to field a contender, we have bigger problems than we thought IMO.

    They have nothing left. To be honest this is what I expected in Game 1. Thibs and the team deserve enormous credit for stretching it two gutty performances farther after the Nets series.

    That's what I love about these types of deals for us. He could literally become crippled tomorrow and we're just writing off 6 mil a year. But if he were crippled before he signed the deal we wouldn't have to write off anything. Damn it, I don't know if we thought this through...

    I searched "rizzo cubs jersey" on eBay last night and there were jerseys floating around for 90 bucks, which I thought was pretty good.

    Haha, I'm not against any of the possible moves, but I had a chuckle at the Pineda/Montero comparison since that deal has been one of the most colossal lose/lose trades (so far anyway) in recent memory.
