  1. LOL. Same [expletive], different season
  2. His OPS is .684. He sucks this year. It's not emotion/frustration.
  3. They claim this injury was bugging him over the weekend, which if true makes sticking him into a high-leverage spot last night even more mind-blowingly stupid than it already was. I assume this is a typical "you suck right now, we're going to invent an injury" situation though.
  4. That'd be an excellent pick. If nothing else he could be a smaller version of Asik, with maybe the ability to actually hold the basketball too.
  5. Shawn Camp needs to be sent to the Marmol low-leverage doghouse 3 weeks ago.
  6. I don't think there's anyone that would be happy about that except Roger Goodell as it fits into his plans for world domination
  7. Well that would be a pisser. Academics I suppose?
  8. This is a pointless thing to point out that means nothing, tells us nothing remotely predictive, and only serves to fuel the "only the Cubs" stupidity. It's a fact. It's not like he's cherry-picking stats to fuel discontent
  9. They're going to win the division and we're not a playoff team. Probably best to not worry about their latest collection of superstars until it comes time to root against them in October.
  10. Just when I want to start liking Edwin, he gives up a game-changing hit to the other team's pitcher.
  11. You'd have several seconds to corral the ball and get it the 5 feet to second, so that part is pretty certain. The important thing is that Barney was intentionally fielding it on the bounce. You're not allowed to intentionally drop the ball to get a DP, IIRC. That's why the infield fly rule exists, but if some lazybones wasn't running out a grounder to 1st, I don't think there's a rule in letting the ball drop to double him up...is there?
  12. My 1st day off this season and get to catch a WGN game. Is Hernandez the other voice I'm hearing? Jim Deshaies. Hernandez is in the Mets' booth
  13. Maybe he's having a stroke? Alcohol's a hell of a drug.
  14. I flipping love watching Anthony Rizzo hit.
  15. Imagine how bad this Manziel nonsense would be if it weren't for his 29/56, 0-TD 3-INT performance against LSU that kept his team out of the national title game.
  16. It's kinda funny though. Not particularly original, however, as that joke was all over Twitter last night
  17. I think black and red work best together so I voted for that. However, it's worth noting that I doubt Pittsburgh would be so monochromatic if they had two teams in the same sport like Chicago does with baseball.
  18. I actually want him with Team USA. I'd rather him not be tentative at all when the real games start. Plus, I think that's a good way for him to measure his game against the best in the world, rather than preseason games that nobody cares about. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but that's how I feel. No, I agree too. I want no part of Rose still being tentative in October.
  19. Well, that was a [expletive] way to end the season
  20. It's so frustrating to watch Boozer. He's really good, but he could easily be so much better if he were just a stronger rebounder and finisher
  21. Wade pulling his "suddenly I'm not injured anymore" crap again, and this is likely my last NBA game until Halloween.
  22. Stunningly, the refs don't reward LeBron for his flop.
  23. LeBron doesn't flop guys, pay no attention to his tanklike body flailing to the ground after getting fouled by a 5'9", 180-pound (both listings generous) guy.
