  1. Just a pathetic game by Carolina in all phases. Next week will be a bloodbath.
  2. The Panthers' beat writer was nice enough to inform me on Twitter that Carolina's longest pass of the season - 37 yards - is well short of two different Steve Smith TD receptions for the Ravens this year, including one today. 101 yards and a score already for Smith today.
  3. Firing a coach mid-season is generally a bad idea, but I don't know what else UM can do with Hoke. They're getting bludgeoned by like the 7th best B1G team in their own place.
  4. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing those 14 points Arizona State gave up in like 45 seconds of game time will play a role in the outcome. #analysis
  5. There's not really a bad choice in the bunch there, but Jennings is probably the safest bet.
  6. I thought they were? Either way, they're awesome and there needs to be more of them. I believe they got the rooftops to agree to 3:05 Friday starts late last season and had a couple of them, then they were standard this year from basically May-August.
  7. Does authenticated mean subscribers to the channel that is locally broadcasting the game? If it doesn't mean that, I can't see it as anything but a bad thing for us. I really doubt MLBAM is broken up by 2020 It does mean subscribers to the channel.
  8. Philly Brown, good luck on the waiver wire
  9. wtf, you are only down 10 in the 3rd quarter, what is this 'needed' crap I'm very Sulleyish with the Panthers. Mike Tolbert is our only healthy RB and Cam can't run anymore because of his ankle and ribs. This is not going to be fun.
  10. After this week, Carolina goes @Ravens, Bears, @Bengals, @Packers, Seahawks, Saints, @Eagles, Falcons. Really, really needed to win this game.
  11. The Titans (and really the entire South save Indy) are terrible, but the Bengals look very legit so far.

  13. I'm leaning towards riding it out with Knile Davis today in a 14-team league as a flex, but I have DeAndre Hopkins too. Hope Charles doesn't turn out to have somehow gotten to 100% this week.
  14. It remains to be seen how or if the polls will affect the committee, but theoretically they will have nothing to do with the committee selections. I seriously doubt a 12-0 BYU were to get in unless there's carnage everywhere else.
  15. Ridiculous missed PI against Oregon helps them stop WSU and probably clinch the game. Ugh.
  16. then decided to kick a field goal because they definitely want to lose Managed to hold Oregon to one on the other end, though. They went for it and missed earlier, and missed a FG as well. They easily could be winning this game.
  17. Usually these upset bids are ground into dust by Oregon in the 3rd quarter, but Wazzu is driving for the tying score as the 4th starts. Hmmm.
  18. IU losing this on a hail mary after a stupid roughing the passer penalty would be pretty much the IU-est thing ever.
  19. Why did Bama even bother with Jake Coker? Blake Sims is throwing perfect balls all over the place.
  20. No, Fox blackouts are a thing of the past.
  21. In a lame attempt to be fair, there's some Twitter scuttlebutt that part of this is related to that. I don't know the particulars but evidently they're investigating the assault further due to a Title IX complaint. ETA: Well, now there are sources saying Winston wasn't honest with FSU about this incident and that's why the suspension, so maybe that's just wrong as usual.
  22. Regardless of whether some teams are overrated or not, I can't imagine that it has ever happened in the modern era that HALF of the Top Ten teams were from the same DIVISION within a conference. Well, there was no such thing as a 7-team division until the SEC expanded to 14, and with a 6-team division (which there was no such thing as until 1992), it's essentially impossible, so yeah.
  23. I thought it was worth checking the standings to see if there's a justification for objectively making the Cubs' defense worse for a game, and FWIW, we're one game ahead of Houston and two ahead of the Red Sox right now.
  24. Tampa's defense scored 11 points. They gave up 56. I know they had a pick-6, but that seems stupid.
  25. If the SEC West were a conference (and it might as well be, with 7 teams it's almost as large as most of the conferences used to be), it would be by far the best in the country. The SEC East is far less good.
