    I was going to post exactly this. Bryant is hitting the [expletive] out of everything good, but he's not getting much good.

    It's pretty much irrelevant to those, like me, that prefer the NL style. No pitcher is ever going to bat in an All-Star Game as it's currently played anyway, so this makes it easier for the managers to execute the real purpose of the game, to get as many players on the field as possible for as long as possible.

    We're not getting Bryzzo in the finals, largely because the world is simply not ready for that much sexiness at one time.

    This is probably a net positive for us anyway, but STL tried to bunt in the 10th with Mark [expletive] Reynolds. After he got Molina thrown out at first when that inevitably failed, he hits a [expletive] can of corn that somehow goes out for his 2nd homer of the game.

    I love that Ventura is still going to the lefty. We couldn't score 4 in this inning if we had 27 more outs, but sure, burn the lefty.

    Honest to God, him at 2nd and Russell at SS can't really be any worse. Not a big downgrade on defense either I don't think.

    Also I never want to spend money on free agent pitching ever again.
