  1. You hand over 2 runs on defensive miscues and you lose by 2, that's how
  2. Frustrating loss especially with the defense problems early. But the good news is we can swiftly make up for it with some good play the next 4. Offense has a pulse again and the good 4 pitchers are going. I like our chances
  3. We would be so good if Soler would even be average and not [expletive] awful
  4. Walking the guy in front of the other team's best hitter didn't work out, who knew
  5. If we were playing a normal Polanco shift there, that's a double play. Bad luck
  6. That was Castro's ball and he should've called it
  7. Russell tagged him out anyway. Such a dumb argument
  8. I'm still lost as to why we picked up someone with FIPs no better than several options already in house. (Noting that the 2nd run was Bryant's fault)
  9. Our left side of the infield clanks way too many routine grounders
  10. I really don't mind the idea of 'anyone but Rafael Soriano' in any spot on our staff.
  11. I can. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that they'd had a 6-game or longer win streak on a road trip before but didn't win all the games on said trip.
  12. 2003 Ha. I have that Straight Lines song randomly pop up on my MP3's now and then because of 07. Keeping the Dream Alive too for a while because of 03. I DL'd that song for the same reason - also I Love This Town from 08.
  13. 8.5 outta first. Not saying we're gonna get it - just saying it's there
  14. I don't know what the stats said about him on D, but he seemed adequate at worst and occasionally better than that to me.
  15. Hopefully Castro didn't steal his mojo
  16. I know small sample size, different pitcher and all, but I'd just rather him have swung there, given that he hit the ball 350 some feet last time
  17. Where in the [expletive] did this guy come from
  18. Starlin Castro and David Ross. You can only hope to contain them
  19. The upshot to yesterday's rainout, now we don't even have to run out 5th starter du jour in an important series.
  20. ND RB #2 Greg Bryant out for the season for failing to maintain a C average, extending the streak of important ND players getting tossed for academics before the first game to 3 seasons.
  21. I don't doubt Jackson was professional and helpful to the young guys, but you sure do seem to hear a lot more about it when the player in question is [expletive] terrible at actually playing baseball.
  22. They've only ever been bad when used poorly. Now that that largely isn't the case anymore they've been very useful.
  23. It's been over an hour, I'd be pretty surprised if they did
