  1. NOLA is an Arkansas fan, we have multiple Texas fans, and there's any number of other team's fans that I'm sure no one has mentioned yet.
  2. I can't stand the Patriots or Brady, and it was fun to watch them play the righteous indignation card when they almost certainly cheated, again, but it never made sense that Brady was punished so harshly for it.
  3. I'm pretty disappointed no one posted some snark about the Nationals pixie dust after that Ryan Zimmerman home run
  4. Well, if we're in the NLDS, we're playing STL, so yeah
  5. It's the ones where kids are surprised by a returning military parent that I'm a sucker for... As neat as those are, I have to imagine the surprise has to be negated a bit when they're dragged onto the field beforehand.
  6. Ok, I'm not going to freak out until there's a reason to, but Schwarber going down would be all kinds of terrible.
  7. It was bound to happen. Even bad teams win series. A couple of pitches go differently (and no Castro errors) and we might have swept the series. Basically what I'm saying is that it sucks to lose the series against a team thats been terrible, but there isn't anything I saw that changes my long term outlook. The biggest issue is that the back of our rotation sucks and we don't really have any options to try to fix it. It almost certainly won't keep us out of the playoffs, but in a 5 game LDS, you will probably have at least 2 games started by the back end of the rotation. Wed - Arrieta (WC) Friday - Lester (normal rest) Saturday - Hammel or Hendricks (normal rest) Monday - Arrieta (+1 day rest) Tuesday - Whoever doesn't start between Hammel or Hendricks in Game 2 Thursday - Lester (+1 day rest) I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Lester go in that hypothetical Tuesday slot. If we were down 2-1 it'd be damn near a certainty.
  8. Yeah, Maddon should get dinged that run, it was stupid to send Hammel back out. Luckily Frazier bunted or else this could've been worse.
  9. Hammel's not pitching anymore today I expect, not with the beef of Cincy's order up next inning
  10. Bryant just saved Hammel's ass from another run.
  11. Eugenio Suarez, Jason Bourgeois and Raisel Iglesias. Can't hope to stop those guys
  12. Are you [expletive] serious Hammel
  13. The whole 'we don't care if we strike out all the time' thing is a lot more fun when we're on dong parades because of it than when we're getting dominated because of it.
  14. We're going to have to go Schilling/Johnson on Arrieta and Lester to win in the playoffs the way the rest of these guys are going
  15. He was pulled to keep La Stella in the lineup (which, whatever). He's fine.
  16. Maddon said he took Russell out to keep La Stella's bat in the lineup, which is good because Russell is fine and bad because if Joe thinks Russell is inferior to La Stella in any aspect of baseball he might be clinically insane
  17. It's a keeper league and I only paid $14 for him. I'm assuming he'll be good in the future
  18. Why on the day I benched you, Joc?
  19. They play it just as much as the other stations do being that you can't really mute what's coming out of the speakers
  20. What some don't get is they can be both well run and the [expletive] luckiest SOBs on the planet. Both are possible.
  21. Also for the love of God stop picking up terrible pitchers and giving them important innings
  22. Why is Eugenio Suarez [expletive] Mike Trout against us
  23. wow bold prediction there. 2nd in home runs among rookies, 1st in runs, 1st in rbi, 3rd in stolen bases, 1st in obp, 2nd in wOBA, easily 1st in WAR. My point was there was a time not too long ago that Duffy, Pederson, and Kang were all clearly ahead of him. Credit to KB. Well, in Joc's case, credit to him for deciding not to hit baseballs anymore
  24. No one knows, but the hope is that it's just Joe being silly and not that he injured himself.
  25. Yes we were supposed to be catching them at a great time. I don't think any time is a great time to catch anyone at this point unless Arrieta and Lester are pitching in a series.
