Not sure, last I heard he was about to start a rehab assignment. It’s pretty sad that I’m pining for Matt horsefeathering Duffy to return Either the Cubs Athletic guys or the Marquee broadcast mentioned a while ago that whatever it is isn't progressing well.

Rizzo out again. Wonder how many nights we'll be playing a man down this time. Oh, and Bryant's out too. Fantastic. It's not like this game matters or anything.

Someone posted that week - because that game capped what was a 6 or 7-game winning streak with a couple of wild wins - that "this week has been a Cubs orgy", and that always stuck with me.

Big start. I haven't seen visual confirmation, but Boog said something about sending it "downstairs" to Elise Menaker, so I think they're actually at a road game for the first time on the Marquee network, which is nice.

The problem with all that optimistic schedule stuff that was earlier in this post is if they don't get their horsefeathers together in like the next 2 weeks, it won't matter because Ricketts is begging to sell, and frankly I think Jed would like to as well if he gets an excuse.

Heyward homer or not, if we keep scoring 2 runs or fewer in almost every game then the Ricketts will gleefully order a sell off

He's perfectly fine. JD is better, and I don't know why there's no seeming rhyme or reason who is doing what game these days, but none of those things are Dempster's fault. -

As Derwood said, there's video of Javy not bothering to take a lead off first on the first pitch of Rizzo's at-bat, either, so it seems like his head just wasn't in it for that whole sequence. I do agree that it is probably more about the team sucking ass right now than about the mistake itself, though. -

For now, very little - the ruling only affected education-related expenses like providing laptops and stuff like that - but Kavanaugh's dunkfest in his opinion opens the door for more civil suits to be brought.

God bless MLB.TV's "switch to audio feed" option. Does it actually work now? Last time I tried it, the audio was way out of sync.It is still a bit out of sync. Audio is probably half a second ahead.
