  1. The Wild card is coming from the AL West. The SOx can't beat either Oakland or The Los Angeles Angels of Anahiem of Orange County of Southern California of California of the Western area of the United States of America of North America of planet Earth of the solar system of the Milky Way Galexy of the universe.
  2. That is a pretty classless comment. Pfffft. Matt Morris has much less class than anyone. 2002: Sosa hits a 500-ft HR off him: "Sammy Sosa stole signs from our dugout" 2003: He complians that the Cards have to play Houston in Sept., while the Cubs didn't: "MLB is being unfair to us. They want the Cubs to win"
  3. Cubs are out of it. I'll be turning my attention to rooting for the Sox to lose. If the Cubs get back in, then I'll start watching the Cubs again this year.
  4. I like "Rockin' in the free World" by Niel Young: http://www.angelfire.com/musicals/samsmusic/rockin.mp3
  5. Todd Weleymer made an issue of this in May: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050529&content_id=1067055&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  6. AMEN! Plus Igooche made like 3 errors, allowing unearned runs to score.
  7. THANK YOU HEE SOP CHOI!
  8. I think the Brewers got the better end of the deal. They got the power they were looking for, and they also managed to dump a sucky reliever on the White Sox.
  9. If the Sox get in, they will have backed in, and will have made it b/c of their play in April and May. They will go 3 and out, IMO, just like 2000. If they miss the playoffs, I will make sure Sox fans never see the end of it. This collapse would be worse than the Yankees collapse, when they were 3 outs away, or the 69 collapse by the Cubs. The worst collapse in all eternity is in the making.
  10. Damon will be a strech, as his agent is Boras and there will no doubt be a Yankees-Red Sox bidding war for him. The Yankees may not need him, but will bid for him and play the triangle defense game. PM me for an explination. Furcal's agent is not Boras. I think the Farns will stay w/ the Braves, I don't know about Taverez, as Cubs luck is he'll suck, Cards luck is he's a STUD. Burnett, I don't know if Tribune wants to pay $$$.
  11. I've had it w/ Buerhle's accusations. They are immature and worse than David "I hate Fenway and it ought to be torn down" "Boomer" Wells. What's next, Mark? I hate the Metrodome and it needs to be blown up? Mark Buerhle has overtaken Matt Morris for # 1 crybaby. In 2002, Sammy Sosa hit a 500-ft. HR off him, and Matt Morris said "Sammy Sosa stole signs from our dugout." Buerhle really needs to be suspended. It's a shame that AL pitchers don't have to hit. Someone really needs to throw a 100 mph fastball at his head.
  12. I've decided to come up w/ a list of players you want this off-season. Here's my list, feel free to make yours. Keep in mind that we have AT LEAST 30M coming off, 47M if Mad Dog retires, and Nomar leaves. Also, post your 25-man roster as well. Anyways, here's my list: Damon Furcal Burnett The Farns Taverez Lineup: 1. Damon 2. Furcal 3. Lee 4. Ramirez 5/6. Some combo of Walker/Pie/Murton/Burnitz 7. Barrett 8. Niefi/Cedeno 9. Pitcher Rotation: Big Z Prior Mad Dog Burnett Rusch Williams (if Maddux retires) Pen: Wood Williamson Dempster Novoa The Farns Taverez Ohman (ONLY if Williams is in the rotation due to Mad Dog retiring) Bench: Platoon Walker/Pie/Murton/Burnitz and Niefi/Cedeno, that's 3 spots. Blanco as the catcher, and Hairston.
  13. I like Neifi off the bench! I don't! He saved the Cubs after Nomar was injured. Are you being sarcastic? NO! What I meant was he did a great job of filling in, plus I like his defense.
  14. Why can't the Red Sox just pull him back?
  15. I like Neifi off the bench! I don't! He saved the Cubs after Nomar was injured.
  16. Prior has recovered from his pounding, IMO.
  17. Walker is good # 2 hitter. The Cubs have AT LEAST 30M coming off the books this off-season. We need to get Damon and Furcal. Just fuckin' pay Damon the 10-15M he's going to get, as his agent is Boras and there will be a Red Sox-Yankees bidding war for him. The Yankees might not need him, but they might go after him to play the triangle defense game. PM me for an explination. Get Furcal as well, move Niefi to 2B, and let Nomar walk. Get Burnett through FA. My infied: Lee, Niefi, Furcal, Ramirez, Barrett. Flank Damon w/ some platoon combo of Walker/Burnitz/Murton/Pie (Walker can play OF). I know Mad Dog is't the Cy Young pitcher he once was, but he has lead the team in wins since the 2004 season. Rotation: Big Z, Prior, Mad Dog, Burnett, Williams. Pen: Wood, Williamson, Dempster, Novoa, Ohman, and get someone through FA. All FA's can be found on http://mlb4u.com/freeagent.html The Farns and Taverez are FA. Te Cubs should go after them, IMO.
  18. I like Furcal at SS and Niefi at 2B.
  19. Damon will be $$$. He's a Boras client and there is no doubt going to be a Yankees-Red Sox bidding war for his services, as the Yankees declined the option on Bernie Williams
  20. To block him from St. Louis for next year.
  21. We have AT LEAST 30M coming off the payroll. Get Damon and/or Furcal. If we don't: ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

  23. Oakland. They have been out of control good ever since they were 19-32. I see them knocking the White Sox out in 3 games.
  24. IMO, if a player wears that elbow pad and gets hit on the pad, it should be a ball. In 2000, I remember Chad Meyers got hit twice in one game and wasn't awarded 1B either time. (He got 1st the 2nd time b/c it was ball 4)
  25. I don't like this country.
