  1. yeah, great season by chicago. kind of a tough way for it to end, but great season. this should help rose a lot.
  2. Dude, stop. It's embarrassing. Every team has had [expletive] like that happen before. Calm down. I love that he acts as if the Blackhawks don't exist. yeah, it's ok cuz they won once in 60 years The bulls won 6. so, you're good for about the next 200 years.
  3. really? This is how sulley copes. He got bold enough to make that "Golem of Akron" soliloquy a month or two ago and should've seen this coming. you have to admit that it was creative. i don't think i get enough credit for thinking up [expletive] like that. besides, lebron's been in this position before, it's by no means over. have you watched lebron james for about the past 4 seasons (minus two games last year)?
  4. really? yes really, i'm sick of watching other [expletive] teams celebrate you realize tha t in any given sport you have about a 3.3% chance of winning a championship, right? this should happen in some form or another in 97/100 years, bud.
  5. the fake attempt for the fans to stand up and cheer was depressing. nice, rose.
  6. yeah, rose actually fouled wade there.
  7. Poor Mike Brown. He's going to get rolled out of L.A.
  8. When have you seen that story?
  9. you've only waited 3 years to say that after your famous "well, lebron is about to take his first steps towards his first title tonight"-nonsense post. too bad every title he wins in miami will be poison to you. Of course they will. That doesn't change the fact that LeBron James is an absolutely fantastic basketball player who plays 4th quarter (see: any quarter) basketball better than any player in the league. I was wrong about the last few years, and clearly something was different about LeBron against the Celtics last year, but you're clearly wrong here. This isn't the first game in this series that I could have posted that, either.
  10. That might only happen in the 1st or 2nd quarter or when things are getting a bit too "chippy." They will never make that call in that situation.
  11. i'm sure you're right, but it's still annoying. it's like everyone remembers jordan against ehlo and russell and nobody remembers steve kerr or the 95 big shots that robert horry made. Unless you're Derek Fisher, who has made like two big shots and somehow that reputation still follows him.
  12. yeah, when everyone in the building thinks that the star player is going to shoot it. i really wish they'd use him as a decoy and get the ball to a shooter who nobody is guarding. anyway, bulls should go at bosh and try to get his 6th foul. with wade playing like crap that would put miami in a big hole. And if the shooter misses, then we get to hear every commentator/journalist/stupid fan complain about how your star player didn't take the last shot. Not saying you are wrong, just that basketball, and a lot of people around it aren't very smart.
  13. He isn't, but it's not as ridiculous of a discussion as you might think. He made some changes to his swing, and he actually has some decent power. He is a solid defender (Maybe someone could chime in with defensive metrics? I don't actually have anything to back that up) and is having a breakout year. There is no way you can put him above Troy, but it's not too terribly ridiculous that you can have the discussion considering how well he's playing.
  14. alarm bells should have started going off in your head as you typed this. Yeah, I get that it's meaningless jibber-jabber, but I'm not really sure how to define it. The bullpen has been absolutely amazing, and the lineup seems to always end up scoring just enough. Although, with Sizemore and Hafner both playing extremely well and now on the DL, I don't like the idea of "random below average outfielder" hitting DH every day.
  15. I think that's a little crazy considering LeBron is playing great defense right now, and Dirk, for all his awesomeness, has his issues on the defensive end. And offensively, Dirk has been absolutely amazing, but LeBron has quietly been pretty damn good too. Not as much as Dirk but the difference isn't enough to overcome Dirk's D No doubt you're right about the defense. But I don't think you overvalue the trait of being able to carry the team offensively when everyone knows you're going to be the one to score. Only a handful of players in history could do that, and LeBron isn't one of them. That's just ridiculous. LeBron is clutch time after time after time. He has improved his jumper dramatically. He had a few issues early in his career "closing games," and the entire Heat team decided to miss every late-game shot for about the first half of the season, but all of that has been way, way overblown. While we watch guys like Kobe take double-teamed, contested 3 pointers that brick and continue to give him (them) a pass, LeBron making the right basketball move or taking a guy one on one still has the meaningless tag of not being a "closer." It's ridiculous. LeBron is the number one guy in the NBA who I would want to have the ball with the game on the line.
  16. The Bulls remind me of the Cavaliers of 08-09 and 09-10. I hope there is a much different result, as I'll be rooting for the Bulls to win it all, but the frustrations seem similar. Average to slightly above average players around your star, but solid playoff defensive sets seem to shut the team down. I think the Bulls are a more complete team than either of those Cleveland teams, but I'd hate to see the same result.
