  1. Yeah that's what I was thinking. Payback three years too late. Oh well, I'm glad the Cubs won tonight. WOOOO!
  2. I come home from a math review and find the Cubs with Zambrano are losing 3-0 to the freakin Marlins. Come on Cubs.
  3. Interesting that Hairston hasn't played much at all this year. I bet he will get a start within the next couple of games. Anyways, hopefully Z pitches well today and the Cubs can start a winning streak. Pretty important that the Cubs win tonight with the pitching match up today and Willis pitching tomorrow.
  4. Hopefully the Bulls can steal this one. I only got to see the last quarter and a half on Saturday, but Nocioni and Duhon need to play better. Also, the Bulls can't let the Heat shoot over 50% and expect to have a chance.
  5. I'm not too worried about Big Z going against Vargas instead of Willis. Beating Willis is no sure thing, and I'd much rather the Cubs get all the easy wins they can get at this point.
  6. If this is true, I'm excited to see what this kid can do for us. I've been hearing about this kid for three friggin years - I am PSYCHED to see what he can do at the MLB level. I just hope that if he tears it up, they won't immediately ship him out for Doug Mientkewicz or some other scrub that can't help us near as good as a strong and healthy Guzman. I doubt it. Hendry has to keep an eye to the 2007 rotation with the possibility of, at least, 2/ 5 of this year's anticipated starters nolonger being with the club. The Cubs will need some quality arms. If Guzman pitches well I think he'll start for the Cubs next year. 2007: Wood Prior Maddux Zambrano Guzman  My guess is that Wood and Maddux are the two out next year although Wood has a mutual option in 2007. Zambrano and Prior are really the only locks for 2007 right now but I imagine that Marshall, Guzman, and possibly Hill will be given the opportunity to win a spot. The Cubs may also attempt to sign Miller if he pitches decently this year. I really believe Wood will be back next year. He's my favorite. I hope he's healthy and I hope you're right. I really hope Wood comes back and pitches awesome so the Cubs don't let him go. I can't imagine him on any other team. Come on Woody!
  7. I agree. I would personally like to see if Pie could play rightfield if the Cubs do resign Pierre. And Pierre hasn't been awesome but he's been doing thus far than anyone last year.
  8. I thought it was a pretty cool park. I like how downtown is in the background. I still like PNC the best besides Wrigley, but new Busch is really nice.
  9. This can't be said enough. The Cubs are currently last in the league in number of walks taken, while being near the top (currently 4th) in walks allowed by pitchers. Over the off-season you heard a lot about lack of fundamentals, team speed, lack of clutch hitting, etc. But ultimately, the problem with this franchise, carried over from last year, is that they simply refuse to recognize the value of a walk. It's about to get even worse with Lee out.
  10. Well I have 0 faith the Cubs can come back and win this. They look defeated.
  11. Cubs better get over the fact that Lee is out and stop feeling sorry for themselves or they're gonna lose a lot of games.
  12. Wonderful. Well this game is probably over with the way the Cubs are hitting in the clutch. Thanks a lot Rusch, you jagbag.
  13. Nothing like not being able to locate the strike zone. Boy oh boy I love when the Cubs pitchers walk people.
  14. Rusch has completely fallen apart. He got two quick outs and then he's forgotten how to pitch. Get him out Dusty.
  15. Son of a, walks come back to kill Rusch. UGH!
  16. Wow where was that? I can't believe the hitter didn't try and fight that one off.
  17. I hate two out walks. Come on Glendon, get out of it now.
  18. Because they're Cardinal fans and nothing wrong is ever supposed to happen to their team?
  19. Geez Ramirez needs to pick it up now or the Cubs aren't gonna score many runs.
  20. Good inning by Rusch. Come on Pierre, start off the inning.
  21. Cardinal fans thought that one was gone. Kinda like how some dumb Cubs fans were everytime Sosa would hit the ball in the air. But Cubs fans are dumb...
  22. Hopefully the Cubs can get a quick 1-2-3 inning and then get the offense rolling.
